Centre console mini storage box trim

I came across this storage trim for the centre gear console to replace the blanks. Seems like a really good idea and will be quite handy for small bits like coins, tickets etc.
Has anyone tried this or any thoughts?

Some members of the german G20 forum already have these installed.
It´s not big enough for the key but for other small things.
I already ordered one but it´s still on the way around the globe.

Yeap, I've seen it as well and it looks quite nifty. I'm waiting for a RHD version cause at the moment it's LHD-only.

I'm after the RHD version too and it's just been made available hence I wanted to check for some feedback before I take the plunge.

Wish it had a lid on it (I love my F10 mini storage tray with the lid that closes to hide it). Still, I think I need one. Time to order.

Got it:

They've stuck strips of felt on the bottom of it but I'd already made a cutout for it and have a bigger piece of felt I'll use instead.

Mine arrived yesterday, but no felt just plastic on the bottom. Now I only need to take delivery of my car lol.

I removed the whole center unit but some drill a hole in the old piece and get it out in pieces.

With a trim tool and just prise it upwards.

Seriously? It simply pops out using a plastic trim removal tool.

I changed my iDrive controller to one with touch so i already had the center unit removed.
Is the surrounding plastic hard enough to work with a tool in that area without scratching anything?
