Ive recently been having trouble starting up my 2020 bmw m340i , its completely stock and i only have about 28,000 miles. it has like a 1-2 second delay just on cold starts, any idea what it could be, i already replaced my battery, and updated software and i'm taking it in to bmw this week, i also have videos as shown here of what is currently happening every morning. Ive read forums of possible spark plugs, or fuel injectors, starter motor? No idea what it could be would help a lot thanks.

I'm no expert by any stretch but if I had to guess I'd say its the injector. Definitely take it in asap, that's not normal clearly

I took it to bmw im having them replace the injectors and spark plugs so hopefully that fixes it

Update- i took it to bmw , they changed the spark plugs and 4 fuel injectors not all 6 and its still having the same issue, what else could it be ? 😓

Honestly my car does this every once in a while, I haven’t worried, starts normal 95% of the time. I have 90k miles

Issue has not been fixed yet , i brought it to a bmw indy shop that is changing out for a high pressure fuel pump, hopefully that fixes it, they compared it to another bmw and realized the psi was a bit different , will keep you updated

They wanna rule out the fuel pump and ill try suggesting the starter motor but thank you will notify

why would you change the fuel pump before the fuel filter hmm

Good news i have an update, it was the fuel pressure sensor, when bmw changed out my fuel injectors, i took it to an indy shop and they had said that there wasnt something plugged in all the way, ordered a new fuel pressure sensor and it works great, picking up the car tomorrow hopefully
