So I just got an iDrive update and other updates on my car after taking it in for recalls. After getting that done I noticed a few things.

- When I go full throttle and upshift the fart noise is a lot more quieter and only occurs when I'm going full throttle now.
- Also, i don't know if I just noticed this, but everyone with the older update, do your guys hp gauge go up to 280 or 320? After the update, I think mine went up to 320.
- I think my pops in my exhaust are a lot more subtle and harder to obtain too.

1. Well damn. As it is, our exhausts don't pop and crackle much. With the update, it's worse?

2. Mine goes upto 320. I believe both hp and tq go to 320.

1 - My exhaust is still pretty loud and crackles as I have a muff delete but it doesn't do it as much as it used to because I remember when I used to have the older software and when I used to upshift, it always had that fart noise. Now, I have to push the throttle pretty hard to get that upshift noise. That noise is only present after you get the muffler delete. I think you already have the newer software which has the more subtle exhaust tone.

2 - I think you already have the newer software because I got my car in April of last year and the HP gauge only used to go up till 280hp until now.

I’m in the same boat. My car is currently in for recalls. I got a x3 loaner and noticed right away the new higher (320) numbers compared to my 330. Looking forward to getting it back to see what else has changed.

Even with the higher numbers, my car tops out at 280hp on the gauge. Weirdly enough, I don’t think it even shows 295tq. It tops out before that. Weird because BMW claims our cars have 295lbft max tq and it has never reached that on the gauge.

I can confirm the 280 to 320hp visual difference
