G20 Temp Gauge has gone crazy

I looked down at my dash on Friday and noticed that the external temperature was reading as 50oC!

The following day it started out at a normal temperature but soon arrived back at 50 again..

Any ideas?!

I’m not sure about the G2x, but older BMWs had the temperature sensor in one of the front wheel arches and would provide odd reading if they became disconnected.

Maybe you’ve hit some debris?
