Well as per the title I collected my M340i yesterday, did about 100 miles or so to get home and not been out since but having come from an F30 this feels so much more refined, looking forward to getting the running in period sorted and seeing what the performance is like!

Congratulations! Looks great.
Coming from and F36 there is a definite step up. There’s also a period of adjustment, working out where things are and how they work - familiar, but different is how I would describe it.

Looks great, did the dealer fit those rims and did you sell the original ones from new? I would love to swap to those rims but have never had much luck getting rid of the old ones for a decent price!!

Congrats. Looks awesome and welcome to this forums Std car of choice.
I'm around a month in now and have just clocked 1203 Miles. I can tell you now that the engine is silky smooth and bloody rapid. Enjoy,

Have you lowered that or just fitted 20” rims ? Also how you finding the car now coming from a F30. I had a F30 330D and F36 440i and the G21 M340i is a massive step up which I can’t believe. Personally didn’t please the hype until I’ve owned this car, its so stable compared to a 440i S Drive |

I came from a F30 330D which was remapped and I have to say initially I was a little underwhelmed with the performance of the M340i but actually it just took a little time to adjust mind and foot to how hard to push the throttle to get the desired effect, the 330d just leapt off the line with minimal pedal travel where as the M340 does need a bit more of a prod for the same effect, sure when you are going for it through the gears the M340i is quicker but if you are caught low in the Rev range or suddenly want to pick up and go from cruising at 30 mph for instance the 330D would be gone before the M340 would come back at it a few seconds down the line. Handling grip stability and refinement however are in a totally different league to the F30…it almost feels like a totally different class of car. |

Very nice!. You don't realise the actual performance of these as the g series is so refined compared to the f series.
