Just the once, at home right at the start of the trip. No opportunities to charge until I got home again
(disappointing lack of charging facilities at Premier Inns!)

Took a snap at the end of the trip; was a bit sunny at the time so apologies for the reflection
39 mph average though.. What is it like at more motorway speeds mixed in.?

I'm pretty impressed with the efficiency so far. Did my first long journey in it today.
Started off with a full charge, mainly M6, M40, then the dreaded M25 on a Friday afternoon which knocked the average speed a bit. But all in all, translates to just over 44mpg.

You translated to US mpg. Rather pleasingly, 5.3l/100km is 53mpg in UK gallons.

Even better! 👊🏻
I did have a few e-boost moments which was pretty fun…think you may be able to see those spikes in the graph 😎

You do realise you can change the units to miles in the iDrive settings, or do you prefer km?

(Ah, just noticed you're in NL - I always assume people in the UK forum are from the UK. Sorry.)

Yeah I can change the units. I'm originally from the U.K., been in the NL now for 7 years so I've adjusted to looking at things through km 😅

I bought my 330e Sport in October last year and to date I hae done 5334 miles and 4300 of that has been on battery. I get regularly in excess of 36 miles per charge in the warmer weather since April which is 'useful' as most of my trips are to the golf course with round trip of 37 miles. I am about to do my first long trip to Basingstoke (368 miles) to see my kids and grandchildren now that COVID restrictions have eased so will be interested to see what the mpg figures will be like.

Any charge left? I'm doing my first run on Friday, pretty similar, journey as doing Cumbria to London for RL Challenge Cup Final on Saturday
Was a little concerned if I'd get there with a full tank and a full charge. Then I wasn't planning on charging while there, but hoped to have some regenerated charge left after drive down

I’ve done Brum to Gretna and back down to Blackburn starting with a full tank and a charge. That’s about 320 miles, I had about 100 miles of petrol left but no charge. That was using the hybrid standard mode, sticking to speed limits.

Best I got out of a tank was 510 miles on the way to France.

so on that basis, ill easily get to London, may or may not have any charge left in the battery, and will have to refill on way back up home. Its no worse than "normal" cars ive had in past. Good to know, cheers

Hey all you math gurus, can you please help me out with this situation,

as the guys above I can claim 12ppm. I however use a fuel card where I get charged the full fuel cost per month then claim back the 12ppm business miles. ( i can do around 800 to 1000 business miles per week)

I See above that it roughly costs £1.80 per charge which I can do over night. not that 25 miles is going to get me far.

The £1.80 per day I cannot claim back, so my thinking is the cheaper I can make by business miles the cheaper my private miles are. However is it worth the £12.60 per week electric?

this make sense?

Is it not as simple as to work on the basis that the 25 miles you do on electric (when on business) you can claim back at 12ppm (£3.00) when its only cost you £1.80 to charge? So maybe worth it.

That said, I've not claimed business miles for years, so wouldnt really know the process.

Plus, worth noting, if you can switch to Octopus (plug for link below!!) it'll be a quite a bit less than £1.80 to charge. Mine averages around a quid I guess (from a 13pin plug).
Regardless of charging costs, it'll be cheaper than petrol.

Line items in red are from charging at home, using Octopus off-peak hour rates.
This is BMW software though, so wouldnt say it was 100% accurate (for example Sunday 20:37 - dunno what thats about)

So guys I finally had the car for 2 weeks and already done some long journeys and pleasantly surprised with the mpg!!

These were all done on eco pro mode and driving sensibly....

190 miles started with a full battery - 70 mpg (travelling from Leeds to Newbury)...
280 miles started with a full battery ( travelling to Newcastle from Newbury)...

Newcastle to Leeds roughly 90 miles started with a FLAT battery returning 53 mpg ....

I made sure I reset data before the start of the journey to ensure info was correct.....
I am very happy with the car and how it performance and looks.
The only negative is everything gets dirty very quickly and Professional Cockpit Nav got some weird marks on it........
Keeping the interior clean is the hardest part and goes dirty even if you look at it for too long lol....
