Thanks for posting this. Did we get any announcement on how the car looks? I didn't see any. Was wondering if the LCI is happening for this 2022 year.

I also saw leaks we might be getting idrive 8 for the 2022 year but don't see anything related to it in this pricing guide.

MY23 will be the earliest date for G20 LCI. For MY22 X3/4 is getting the LCI, and G01 was introduced one MY ahead of G20:

Nice to see Oxide Grey and Aventurin Red added to Individual color palette.

That is correct. The G20 LCI is currently scheduled to start production on 7/22.

Couple of other changes to note...

Sensatec dash is no longer part of M package. Needs to be added separately
Ambient lighting is now standard.
Parking Plus package with 360 camera no longer offered. (Guess due to chip shortage)

Can’t get H/K stereo on the 330i any more? I hope that is a typo. That is a shame if the case.

Unfortunately not a typo, it has been pulled from a number if different models. Hopefully later in the MY it will come back.

Yeah - shortly after posting I started browsing these forums and realized it has been ongoing even for the last of the MY '21 cars. The deletion of passenger lumbar and inflatable side bolsters is also a pretty glaring omission if spending ~$50k on a car, especially if you plan to keep it for 10+ years and not simply leasing.

When I test drove last week I noticed the front passenger lumbar delete on the build sheet and thought the dealer was just making some very questionable decisions about how to cut costs. It definitely confirmed I would be ordering instead of buying a car off the lot. But it all makes more sense now that I am caught up on the parts shortage situation.

Also it looks like Cognac Vernasca leather is being replaced with Cognac SensaTec - I am a little surprised by that, seems they would want to keep the Cognac Vernasca leather option as well. At least they are adding Tacora - it looks like a very nice red leather option.

Looking to custom order the 2022 M340i x-drive here in southern California when it becomes available.

What do you think about using Costco's auto purchase program? Does it work with BWM custom builds?

Any other suggestions on purchasing a car? Or do I just need to negotiate/make the deal on my end? It seems that their APR for purchase is better than banks and credit unions, so I was just going to finance through BWM. Please chime in and advise!

In normal times you could use the program for custom builds and likely can do it now at most dealers. I have seen some posts saying there are dealers that have stopped accepting it now due to market conditions. It definitely is a good place to start.

Not only is the APR lower but you should get a Credit of $2k or do for financing.

Unless I am missing something it appears that the executive package is also not available in MY2022.

Bummer about the panorama camera, that was something that I was looking forward to having used in in Audi's before.

I placed an order for a 22 M340 xDrive today with Driving Assistance Package (ZDA), Driving Assistance Professional Package (ZDY), Shadowline (ZHO), Parking Assistance Package (ZPK), and Premium Package (ZPP). Here are a couple of changes I noticed from MY 2021:

Parking Assistance Package is listed as "N/C" and includes Parking Assistant Plus and Surround View w/ 3D View.
Shadowline is now $400 instead of $300
Premium Package now includes Gesture Control and now costs $1600 instead of $1400
Cognac Leather is discontinued but Cognac SensaTec is available.

No Executive package for MY22 because they made the laserlights a single option. That was only difference between premium and executive packages

Gesture Control was also in the Executive package. That was moved to the Premium package for MY22.

Did you get an allocation, build date and negotiate a price? If so how much? I want to get my order in but since the 2022 M340i is not on the BMW USA website there is no point since there is no allocation dates and the pricing/incentives cannot really be set in stone. BimmerPost please respond, I am eager to get a new car custom built.

Dealers should have allocations and the pricing is set. It is just a matter of what the incentives will be but those will just help you price wise.

I'm in your situation. Been waiting to order a 2022. It's all a bit of a mystery so far. Several dealers are all singing the same tune.
I can place an order now for a custom built car, although it's really just securing one of their allocation slots, so it's assuming you'll get into production as early as possible when the factory starts up.
They want a deposit. Could all be BS, just to get you hooked in to a particular dealer. Just an FYI, California is deposit refundable.

As far as negotiating goes, forget it. They are all at MSRP and won't budge, at least for now. Current situation has made it a sellers market. They are all claiming the car is super desirable, and with low production numbers likely for the beginning of the 2022 MY, they don't have to budge.

Like TB says, incentives won't come into play until they are announced officially. They wouldn't even tell me if I could take the 2 grand off for financing through BMW Finance.

IMO, I think things are going to open up and get clearer, once the BMWUSA website goes live with the 2022 3 series. Who knows when that will be? I guess patience is in order.

2022 bmw m340i Xdrive ordered

Hey all, just chiming in on my experience.

Placed an order for a 2022 bmw m340i Xdrive the other day through my local dealer I was able to secure an allocation. Checked with dealer yesterday they informed me they have a current ETA of 6 weeks.

I haven’t asked but with that eta I can assume my car is being built in NA, when I was specced the vehicle I made sure the options and colors I selected would give me a NA build.

For pricing- I haven’t even gotten to that point yet in the process, as previous posts stated, there are currently zero offers or incentives for this model yet. Msrp is what you will pay, it is a sellers market as posted above.

My optimism and the dealers optimism also believes that when these models start to show up at dealers they should see rebates being offered for them. EG, 2022 x2 rebates are available as those cars have already hit the lots. 2022 3 series have only began production this week really. Hoping to see what August’s offers look like.

If you have by questions please let me know.

I was able to negotiate a decent dealer discount on my MY22 330e order in Denver, message me if you are interested.

I decided I wanted to try leasing and I went through a lease broker. I got an allocation slot for a MY 22 from a dealer in Reading, PA (I live in Northern VA). The dealership told me on Tuesday (7/6) new orders had flipped over to MY 22. The build sheet has the pricing shown in the NA Pricing Guide posted at the top of this thread. The only weird thing is that my build includes (ZPK) Parking Assistance Package which I understand is not available in MY 22. It's listed as "N/C" on the build sheet which probably means it won't be included. It's listed on Track My BMW too. My car is at "Scheduled for Production" on the website. I hope this helps.
