My update was done last night. A day of driving today and I've yet to spot any differences.

There was an 11/2020 update. The car downloaded it and it kept failing install for some reason. Checked yesterday and it said there was no update available. So still on 03/2020. I understand that there was a problem with the 11/2020 ota update. Could have been rolled back

As a matter of interest, what versions were people running before the latest update? Mine is on 11/2020 and showing no signs of getting anything newer.

I do not know the algorithm BMW use to send out the updates, but I have two BMWs which need it and one came 2 days ago and the other says no update available still.

Assume they drip feed the release so as to identify issues and be able to stop the update if needs be. Annoying as my app still states no update and is on 11.2020

Mine downloaded on Saturday AM but cancelled it by mistake on the app. Whilst heading to the beach I stopped for fuel and it was accidentally started whilst I was refuelling.

I had to wait for it to finish before I could get any sign of being able to start the car.
So was a tad embarrassing at the forecourt

03/2021.50 on mine now.

Not hugely exciting. From what I see, maybe an addition in imputing destinations on satnav that I suspect most won't use.

You are very lucky.

I have had my '21 330i running 11/2020 for 9 months, and apart from one update performed by BMW Park Lane, have not received a single OTA update.

Appears very hit and miss who gets updates and when and if at all.

Got 03/2021.50 down and installed in my 330e last week. No problems. Not noticed anything of significance feature wise but none the less, glad it went on OK.

Interestingly, a buddy too delivery of his new 330e touring last week and that shipped with 03/2021.46

Wonder what the difference is between the versions.

When Wifi and bluetooth both are connected, but Apps isn't, try to reboot the car by holding the off button for 45 seconds. Worked for me.

Didn't for me. It was the Android phone rather than the car. Delete the app and reinstall it.

My car auto downloaded 03/2021.50 yesterday and my 2020 car has now had all its loud pops and crackles removed on startup. I have submitted an official complaint to BMW as it has effectively changed the character of the car fundamentally without any consultation or warning. I have told them I want my car’s software to be reverted back to the previous version and for auto downloads to be deactivated.

So an interesting snippet about OTA possibly not occurring.

Mine is going into dealer for service and all the various niggles, (software update is on the list to be performed) 1st visit in two years. Apparently from the service dept………if the car logs a fault then OTA can get inhibited. Not sure if this is true but mine has had several display blackouts, idrive hangs etc. So conceivably this may have locked out OTA for me, I am still on 07/2019.

Be interesting to see if my car has logged any faults when it visits for its service.

Hmm mine is still saying no update as does the app. Surely the app would see there is an update from bmw and notify as such.
I haven't seen any issues popup and there are none logged in idrive.

My phones just popped up a notifcation to say an update is available and can be downloaded to my phone now. Clicked on the notification, and the Remote Software Upgrade menu (under Services) and nothing happens. Painful process. Would much rather be able to download myself and do it via USB.

Mine did the same but downloaded to phone very quickly. Went into car where it announced the update was ready but it couldn’t begin because the key wasn’t present (it was) so I turned off and on again and now it says “download complete you’ll be informed when installation is ready to begin”
