I am noticing a few more as well but it might just be that I wasn't looking before!

From a tax perspective it is a no brainer I believe.

For reference, I drive a 320i which has the same B48 in the same state of tune without the 250ish Kg of extra weight of the 330e and I can get 47/48mpg on a motorway run, but mixed average is about 37. There's not a chance without charge a 330e will get into the 40's as an average.

Had a trip down to Portsmouth from The Midlands this week. Started with a charge. Did 164 miles, of which 34 was electric and got 64 mpg. On the way back started with zero charge, I got 49mpg and recovered 19.9 electric miles. I was driving more enthusiastically on the way back tho.

All driving was done in eco pro mode.

Very respectable economy all things considering.

I’ll upload the screen grabs if I can figure out how!

I had a trip from Chester to Birmingham and I forgot to charge my car the night before so started off with the screen showing 57mpg from the day before a journey and 0% battery.

Running in Eco Pro to Birmingham and back it finished at 48.6mpg which is still better than the 36-38mpg I was getting out of my Lexus 300h self charging hybrid.

All in all I’m so pleased with my choice in the BMW 330e especially in conjunction with OctopusEnergy at 5p per kw hour charge rate between 12:00 - 4:00am making local journeys buttons.

Those figures sound promising, fuel consumption was one thing I was wondering about coming from a 2012 520d which is fantastic.

Roll on July for collection

That's very good, over 60mpg and about 10kWh of electric.

191 miles from Cambridge back home to Manchester today. 0 electric at the start and MPG at the end of the journey was 47.4
Journey was about 3 miles round Cambridge , up the A1 at approx 70 MPH. Over the Woodhead pass with about half a mile of Xtraboost to get up the hill quick, and back home. Other than the short Xtraboost the journey was done in standard Hybrid mode. The car was showing 14.3 miles traveled on electric which was due to regen.
Oh and mine is a touring.

I have been getting 36-38 mpg out of my M340i so far.
Life is too short to worry about it.

I don’t think many people are worrying about it, but some people on the forum are leasing the G20/G21 as company cars. They want to be able to make an informed decision whether the 330e is going to save them money over a diesel, or if it is worth, if possible installing a charge point.

Reading this certainly pleases me as never had a Hybrid before, my 520d is awesome but being a diesel it will be, but some great positive figures on here........cannot wait to get mine now, and like yours it’s a tourer too

Maybe of some use for those interested in 330e MPG. Did a few miles the last couple of days. Started with a full charge but no charge since. Did 513 miles, mostly in Eco Pro and with active cruise on. Stuck to around 65 mph motorway driving with the odd blast to overtake etc. A couple of stops into towns on the route for lunches etc.

Managed on average 52.2 mpg, with 87 electric miles.

That’s some great mpg numbers with a flat battery.
This(see link) guy manages 42 UK mpg driving in city with stop start is amazing...I guess the key is eco pro mode and gentle on the accelerator.

Got back today from a little road trip. Following on from previous post, ended up doing 1165 miles... mostly motorway, few trips round towns for stopovers/lunches and a blast through the twisty roads of the Lake District.

Started with full charge but then not charged again. 47 mpg average with 242 electric miles.

How many times did you charge ?
47mpg over 1165miles with 1 charge ( if correct) is amazing.....Almost close to diesel...

Just the once, at home right at the start of the trip. No opportunities to charge until I got home again
(disappointing lack of charging facilities at Premier Inns!)

Took a snap at the end of the trip; was a bit sunny at the time so apologies for the reflection

This is pretty much what I am seeing. I think the benefit of the 330e is that with careful driving you can get some pretty good efficiency figures. If you want to drive it aggressively it is good fun but it will just cost you a few quid more in fuel.

@ spr-guest13. I think you made the right choice with regards to your car and should have no issues with breaking even or better.
