It’s the third BMW of mine .. No choice but M340i

I pucked up my 2021 M340i end of last year. This has additional options named “Performance and Premium” than standard one in Korea

- M option seats (the same shape with new M3/M4)
- Adaptive suspension
- Auto tailgate
- Galvanic switch
- M seatbelt

Jealous of the seats!
From one Seoul-lite to another!

I like the one on the right. The aftermarket has a lot of work to do on the left.

Seoul must have pretty good economy.

I don't understand why we get hardly any of these options in the US. WTF I want those seats!

Gorgeous car and photos! Just curious, what's the car culture like there in South Korea?

I think the G20 is far better than the upcoming G80 - it's why I got a M340 instead of waiting for the G80. To me for my personal use it's the perfect compliment to my M2C.

Korean economy is doing fine, able to weather covid pretty well (no lockdowns). 26% tax on imports can hurt though.

It's there but subdued. It's hard to encapsulate in a few sentences but I'd say there is both a lot of regulation but little enforcement. Lots of rules on what you can't do but there are no traffic police for example. I won't get in trouble for my splitter being too low unless someone turns a photo of my car into the police.
People with high performance sedans or coupes fare far better than highly modified, brightly colored cars because they blend in.
For the racing scene, seems like there are two camps - those with little money who race what they got no matter how bad the car is, and the very wealthy well off who race their M3/4/5 or their McLaren or Porsche. There's almost no in-between.
Anyway that's just my perspective.

You think 26% is bad? Try 40-120% here in India! xD

Great looking car! I notice that you have left hand blue strips on number plates to show country identifiers in Korea too.

That's probably optional? In india, many cars have that too. But then. Most people do whatever they want with their plates, changing fonts, adding stickers etc. Only recently did they start bringing out HSRP. Not many cars (especially old ones) have it yet.

My clue was the third post where they didn't have the country identifier strips (even though they're in korea too).

Yeah country identifier is optional and only recently available.
