Highly doubt it. What are they going to do w/ used wheels and tires? Not to mention that at the end of a lease, the vehicle is going back to BMWFS (unless the dealer gets a good offer to buy it from them and decides to do so).

You mean the number of pistons which are 4 pistons are the same, the calipers are definitely much larger.

Never trust the sales dept. If it doesn't come from the foreman in the shop, it's likely bull$hit. The rotors are bigger, as are the calipers.

I love the Blue calipers. Didn't get the Tire & Cooling PKG as I didn't know that it came with bigger Blue M brake calipers/rotors (374mm). ugh. oh well.
Just throwing this out there if anyone has the Tire & Cooling PKG but likes the larger Red calipers/CD/S rotors, WTB or trade: I can buy the Red M-Performance big brake kit (accessory) and will give you the Red calipers w/ cross-drilled slotted rotors (same dimensions as the larger Blue M brakes that come in the Tire & Cooling PKG), in exchange for the larger Blue calipers/solid rotors. Thanks, PM me if interested to change your Blue to Red !

BlueLeaderXI,
Why not purchase the front 374mm rotors, calipers, pads and wear sensor? Less money and less work to install. Larry

great idea

I well might go with your idea, seems much easier less convoluted. Especially since rear brakes I believe are the same? What about all the tiny pieces of hardware/mounting/brackets? Or is all I need is part #'s for the front Blue calipers + 374mm rotors + pads + sensors? That would be a lot easier. I haven't seen any part numbers for these and don't know if it would be much different in price as my understanding was the larger calipers/rotors would still be up there, looks like the M Perf Red brake kit is 2.3-2.5k.? Thanks and sorry for the questions.

Yes, all you really need are the L/R 374mm rotors, L/R 374mm calipers, brake pads and wear sensor. Reference for the part #s (Diagram Part #s 3, 5, 1, 2) - https://bimmercat.com/bmw/en/search/.../USA/34_2744.\ Technically, you should replace the caliper mounting bolts (diagram part# 11) since I believe they are single use, but I just reused my existing bolts. I'm sorry for asking probably the same question that had been asked multiple times in this thread but just want to make sure. I recently ordered an M340i xDrive with the ZTK setup. The ONLY difference with respect to the brakes is that the rotors are larger, correct? If so, that is for front rotor only, correct? Thank you!

We just had snow here in South Texas, which is extremely rare, but man it just reminds you how important having the correct tires is and the P4S setup ain’t it, even for just a couple inches of snow.

Yeah man, I feel ya. It rained for like 8 hours last night and I woke up to wet pavement this morning. Freezing cold like 55* outside too. Had to turn on the butt warmers when I went to grab brunch.

Lol right. Windchill was -10 here and that’s unheard of for south Texas. In fresh powder the P4S was acceptable but anything that was compacted or refrozen was down right bad. Braking was non-existent, so in other words, don’t be on the road without the proper tires. I can’t wait for Texas to return to normal temperatures.

That's not enough for me to switch to winter tires. It's just more reason to own more than one vehicle for more than one weather situation. South Texas will return to 70 degrees by the weekend.

Yeah but who knows? The frequency of crazy weather like that may occur more often the way things have been shaping up over the past few years. It's actually not only TX experiencing unusual weather patterns as of late.

Exactly. I think these occurrences will become more frequent. Like Ben mentioned, probably still not a reason to buy and store winter tires in south Texas, but enough to prepare in some way shape or form.
