BMW New Owner Track Drive

Just got an invitation and it seems like a blast. Looking to hear past experiences from those that have.

Is it worth a 5hr drive each way and a night in a hotel?

Done it with a Porsche.. Its actually better than Tire rack Track nights coz less people means more track space and time. Had the Cayman GTS at Palmer. Still hooked...

This sounds pretty much like the driving experience you get when you do a Performance Center new car delivery. Half day of track stuff. So if you haven't bought yet do a delivery in Greer. If you have your car, I think I'd rather buy a full day school and get twice the fun for your long drive to Greer.

I haven't done it, but like you, I plan on doing so once things (namely travel) are a bit safer. I'm pretty excited for it!

Not quite. You do more with the delivery, but you're focused on a car that is similar to what you ordered (exclusive of the off road experience). For delivery you get skidpad, autocross, and I think it's the braking exercise. For the new owner experience, you get the off road course, and a few laps in different cars around the autocross portion at the Center. And it's 2 hours.

First, I've done PCD twice and it was an AMAZING experience each time. This looks a bit different than that but nevertheless the facilities are great, the staff is highly professional, experienced, and will make sure you have a good time. No brainer.

I think this was to encourage sales growth, however, I wasnt aware this was even part of the sale and not sure my SA was either so theyre not promoting it very hard.

My wife got a used X3 M40i about 2 months before I got my M340i and she wasnt invited so I'm assuming this is new purchases/leases only unfortunately

It was for new cars only purchased/leased in 2020 (loaners, used, demo, don't apply). The owner must request it by calling the performance center and asking about the program and provide the VIN, purchase/lease date, and BMW center name.

Plan to do it later this year. Hoping if I wait long enough they might add the G80/G82 to the list of drivable cars. Long shot but you never know...

Was thinking of doing this then maybe signing up for another one of the classes the next day or something so its worth the drive/hotel stay. I think you get 10% off the other classes if you have a CCA membership as well

Pretty sure you can pay out of pocket. Its not crazy expensive, something like $299 a person
