Underbody shield tear

I noticed a scraping noise while driving on the highway and upon closer inspection found that there was a tear in my car's undercover shield. I have no idea how did it happen or when. So I used grey tape to hold it up till I could reach my home town.
Does anyone have any idea how much will the replace cost? Or should I just take it to a local mechanic to have some quick fix, or just keep it grey taped as is.

Also curious about this. Is the tear under the front or rear bumper, or side?

Some Gorilla duct tape would probably be sufficient for that.

On my previous BMW I ripped my belly pan (we havae a number of drainage dips at intersections that can do a job on a belly pan). My dealership split the cost with me as a courtesy feature.

Those things are unnecessarily expensive. Possibly due to the awkward sizes. I'd just keep it taped. It's really more for aerodynamics and taping that up will not hinder its function at all.

Just remember to clean the area very well before you apply the tape. I'd recommend wiping with alcohol once after cleaning to make sure all oils are removed. This will ensure a long lasting repair.
