Thanks again all. Issue with the adding DAPP is it involves starting the approval process again at work before even ordering. Was advised not to do that, not sure why. But I guess not a big deal. Maybe something I think is cool but don’t actually use that much.

I’ll post my full build and dates once I hear the first step done.

My order's been stuck on "Final Assembly" for 5 days now, which seems kind of odd. Has this happened to anyone else's? Most seem to spend a day or two max on this stage. Is progress not updated over the weekend?

I wouldn't worry about it. Your car is probably done. My car jumped three or four thresholds in a day. I doubt they update on the weekend.

Mine was in Final Assembly from 2/21 to 3/3. My understanding is that Final Assembly is a holding location if they are waiting on components.

It’s also where they hand off the vehicle to the factory sales team that arranges transport to the port. I spoke to the Genius line and they told me the factory sales team was arranging transport to the port and that the car was actual finished while in Final Assmbly.

Just got off the phone with them and they said the same thing. I had no idea what she meant by "it was handed off to the sales team" - this gives me a bit clearer of a picture, thank you.

Back when I ordered my first car, it had a production date of June 23. It was during the supply chain crisis. The car got stuck in Quality Control from June 28th until August 1. When the car finally flipped to Final Assembly (Aug 1) - they also updated the Production Date to Aug 1. To me that says that Final Assembly = Car is complete. Handed off to sales = "the car is complete and they are passing it to the team responsible for getting the car from the factory to your dealership"

I had a car stuck in final assembly from Aug 5 to sometime in November. Car finally made it to the dealer in late Jan. I passed on the car as I found one out of state. Couldn't get a straight answer from the dealer, they kept telling me it was done and waiting for shippment when the Genius was telling me the opposit.

It really depends. My 2023 330i xDrive order was received on 2/14 and didn’t start production until 3/3.

4/24 Update: CA confirmed that car was shipped on 4/20 and will reach Port Hueneme in a few days, ready for p/u this weekend!
Meanwhile, MyGarage still says "Ready for Transport."

4/25 Update: MyGarage changed four times so definitely almost there!

4/29 Update: After being anchored for a couple of days due to port delays, the ship finally docked on 4/28 in the evening and MyGarage changed to "At the Port" this morning. Fingers crossed it changes back to "In Transit" today and I can pick it up tomorrow!

5/7 Update: Car delivered to the dealership pn 5/3, one day earlier than Genius expected. Picked her up on 5/6. Like others have reported, did not come w/the charging cable -- CA will look into it on Monday. Otherwise couldn't be happier w/the car... love it!!

Wow. Yours went really quickly. I wish they'd all get built this quickly. I wonder if a 330 vs 340 makes a difference, or if you just got really lucky with your allocation.

Nice build, and that first part did go quickly. Not to dampen your excitement, but in my limited (first time order) experience, it's these next steps that take the longest. Waiting at the factory, waiting to get loaded at the port, shipping delays, etc. I was in "ready for transport" stage for 4 weeks until it moved to "in transit", but even in that stage the delivery date I've been given has been pushed back twice already.

Fingers crossed for you it goes quickly, but thought I'd chime in to share my experience in case it shapes your expectations.

Yes I really did. My dealer just so happened to have an allocation. So yeah, perfect timing.

Thanks yeah I'm really excited about that grey. But 4 weeks at Ready to Transport!?! Crazy! But I guess if there are no ships.... I'm really excited but I keep telling myself it could be June (or later!).
