Hi all, is anyone else having issues getting their My Trips to connect on their 330e? Several of my colleagues in work have the same car and their My Trips icon in the app has become active automatically.

On my app when I click on the icon on my app it is advising that I need to log into the car via my profile and ensure that I have the latest in car apps downloaded and then check that my Data privacy is on all services incl analysis or on Individual ensure that My trips is ticked.

I have checked all of this and the correct apps are installed and permissions granted????

Does anyone have any ideas as this is annoying more than it probably should at present!

Not on 330e but I can't get it on my 19' 330i, idrive and app are both up to date and everything is ticked but no trip data coming through

Try rebooting your iDrive.

I've raised a ticket with BMW, will update as soon as I hear more. Might be worth anyone who has the same issue to raise it as well so they have a bigger pool of VINs to investigate.

If this is when I hold the power button down for 30 secs for a reset, I have done this and have to do it fairly regularly due to other “glitches” mainly with Apple CarPlay. Also I had to do it when I was attempting to Alexa to work but I have completely given up on this now!!

I have to say I am personally am not too impressed with the experience of I drive!!

Use the "send app feedback" function from within the application.

I have now had to raise a ticket, they have asked me do everything suggested in this thread and still I have had no joy!!

I have now responded to them with screen shots and awaiting a response, I will keep you updated just in case it helps anyone else out.

I had noticed the My Trips section in my BMW app on my tablet a few weeks back. It wasn't yet shown in my phone.

That had appeared, but both apps said I needed to update my privacy settings in the car. I double checked and there appeared to be no such option to authorise. Just like others have been experiencing. Also thinking of going into dealers about this..

This morning I got a message in the car that the privacy settings have been updated, and to check them. I re-authorised with the all option.

Now I can see the trips in the apps.

Hi,

After several weeks of trying, today, I did an Update Apps and Services and on the third consecutive attempt, I was offered a notification saying that the Privacy Settings had changed and sure enough, there was finally a ‘My Trips’ tick box available in the Privacy section on the iDrive. I ticked this option thinking it’s finally going to work.

However, sadly, there is no My Trips tab available yet in the My BMW App even after completing a couple of journeys.

Has anyone had a similar experience and found a resolution?

My iPhone is running MyBMW app version 2.9.2 and I get all the MyTrips statistics apparently over the last 36 trips giving me average speed per trip, fuel consumption (unfortunately in gallons per 100 miles!) and total CO2 emissions. All quite interesting but I'm questioning the relevance or indeed need for it?

I think that can be said for most of the features of the myBMW app. Loads of information (not great deal of which is actually that useful) and pretty limited actual functionality.... unless you need to frequently flash the lights or lock/unlock thru the app rather than the key.

Absolutely! I sometimes look at it to confirm it's locked and where it's parked. Mind you if it informed me of a different location to where I'd left it I think I'd freak!

Here's the response I got from the BMW Connected team:

Our Technical Support Team said that the "My Trips" feature requires the software version July 2022 where as your vehicle currently has March 2022 installed.

As I had suspected, there's a software dependency. The July version is not available via OTA yet, I think it will be rolled our Novemberish...

Are you using an iPhone?
In which case can you not go into the 'Apps' app on your phone and download the up to date version from there?

Android but they are referring to the car's software version.

I'm afraid their answer is plain wrong. I have 21/07 software + android phone + working My Trips.

Yup. My car has software 07/2021.62

Running android on my phone/tablets.

Until my car informed me last week that there was an update to the privacy settings I couldn't access My Trips.

After checking the updated settings a new option was available.

Works for me now.
