Easier Way To Clean Wheels?

I'm looking for an easier way to clean these wheels. They are a bitch to clean. I'm using Optimum Power Clean, wheel woolies, rags to get in there through all the crannies. When I'm done and rinsed I still find spots that need to be touched up. It' s a real P.I.T.A. How do you all clean your wheels?

I read that the current BMW pad material is extra sticky for environmental reasons. You could try changing your pads to an aftermarket ceramic one for less dust. I also just sit there and scrub with the biggest brush I can find as it gets into all the nooks otherwise I'll have some missed spots like you.

I use a dedicated wheel bucket, brake buster as my chemical for both tire and wheel, a wheel barrel brush, detail factory brush for lugs and face of wheel, and the lambskin wheel mitt for face, tight areas and behind the face of the wheel.

Try https://www.p21s.com/portfolio/wheel-cleaners/ - the gel formula.

You can also get the wheels ceramic-coated - cleaning them will be 100x easier. Good luck!

Highly recommend ceramic coating everything, including wheels. Also for weekly wash maintenance, after drying wheels off with a combination of air drying, then final touches with Bead Maker which also adds protection, hydrophobic properties and helps cleaning the wheels the following week easier, imo.

Damn, good call. I use P&S products (among others) including Bead Maker. I've never even thought of putting it on my wheels but it makes perfect sense. I have HRE FF10s, they're a disaster to clean. Pretty though.

I ceramic coated my wheels when new and use Griot's Wheel Cleaner and Ceramic Wash and Coat (in a foaming tool) during maintenance washes. This combination has worked very well.

My car is not here yet, but for my other vehicles I use eagle one "Tire and wheel cleaner". Let it set for a few minutes and then hit it with the hose. Once I dry them off, I hit them with Armor all "wheel protectant". It keeps rims nice and clean.
