The outgoing 3 series is the last real 3 series - LOL - some things never change.

Perhaps a return to "The Ultimate Driving Machine" would be nice, less emphasis on the "Tech" for me

Would love to trade my M performance F31 wagon for a M performance G21 wagon, if they bring it to the states. Otherwise, I think I'm just going to Dinan my F31 and keep it.

Driving dynamics aside, the F30 was a lazy effort in other areas too, notably the interior. Take the E90 interior (which came out in 2006), throw a swoopy line on the dash, cheapen the plastics, and ride that until 2019. Just pathetic. The F30 is the perfect symbol of BMW's complacency and overall mediocrity during the 2010s decade. It started with the E89 and F10 and seems to finally be resolving with some recent products like the X3 and M5, which have gotten more positive reviews out the gate. |

This is the ones that have "driving dynamics"?! The Issue begun earlier, from the excellent E46 and E39. And also E38. What came next, Yes the E9* garbage, the E6* and E65, need i say more? These days the 2 series are a joke, the F48 is a FWD SUV, the X2... meanwhile the F1* was rock solid, the G01 is excellent, so Looks like the new Z and 8 also is great additions, along side of the new X5. Cheap interiour, that is Audi strenght, they rule this area. BMW strength is chassi and blending together sport and comfort into a Nice package. But for real, everyone is playing safe these days, the ice is coming to an end, fast! The resources is going to the EV's, the future of mobility. The new 3 is surely decent, but no revolution, basicly what the G30 is, a refined F1*.

http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/car-new...-nox-emissions And electric cars are horrendously bad for the environment, batteries requiring very scarce elements such as lithium and cobalt, the mining of both causes huge destruction of natural habitats, plus the recent news stories regarding the human rights abuses and child labor used to mine cobalt: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/the-tol...ndustry-congo/ Not to mention there isn't enough of either within the planet for everyone who currently owns a fossil fuel vehicle to have a battery vehicle, and on top of that even the most developed western countries do not have anywhere near the power infrastructure to cope with everyone charging their car each night. Electric cars are a complete and utter dead end technology! Last edited by teaston; 08-04-2018 at 01:55 PM.. |

Nope. German design in general just seems to have gone bland the past couple years.
