A lot of decent manufacturers (CTEK, BMW, Apple, etc) only charge batteries to a max of 88% before they’re considered “Full”. This is deliberate and protects the battery long term. I believe the latest iPhone’s now have a switch to actively prevent 100% SoC, to protect the battery. My CTEK has never charged this car battery to 100% despite leaving it on charge for days over the winter.
