Those with Dinan lowering springs on G20 - did it achieve advertised height?

I have a 2020 330i RWD. Installed the Dinan lowering springs and bump stop kit. Their advertised drop is 1 1/4" front and 3/4" rear for the RWD platform.

Measurements from center of hub to bottom of fender on OEM springs was 15" front and 14 3/4" rear.

After 500 miles of driving it measures 14 1/4" front and 14 5/8" rear. That is only a drop of 3/4" front and a whopping 1/8" rear.

I contacted Dinan and the only thing they have asked is if I had a full tank of gas (LOL) and asked for photos of the spring perches - which I provided and they said looked good. The only other thing he has suggested is to hilope they settle over time. I would think 500 miles of driving would be plenty and I've never seen springs settle 1/2" before.

My question is, has anyone else had this issue with the RWD on Dinan springs? If so, did you find the cause?

Thanks!
Mike

Thank you. I believe the M340i and 330i suspension components are largely the same so I'd imagine your data point is valid.

A thought... you have springs for a 330i, not springs for an M340i?

Thanks for the reply. The thought crossed my mind, but the Dinan site shows the same part number for both 330i and M340.

So there will be a bit of variation, due to options fitted.

Another thought. You did relax the appropriate bushing bolts and then re-torque at the new loaded positions.

I don't think any variation in options would account for a half an inch or more though?

I did definitely torque the rear bushings at the correct ride height. The front doesn't have any bushing components that are removed or loosened, so I just tightened those while suspension was drooped.

I've done countless suspension installs on American, German and Japanese cars, so I'm confident that install is correct. I think there is something else at play, but who knows.

I don’t think I got the full advertised height by just a smidge which is fine by me. I know the H&Rs go a little lower but I heard it’s more of a squishy ride with those

Thanks ks for the reply. I would be ok with a little variation but it's off by 1/2" in front and nearly 3/4" in the rear. They ride great, but bummed about the drop.
