When you add AWD to this you're adding weight exclusively to the front of the car, so it tends to understeer. Porsches don't have this problem as they're rear biased due to their engine placement
It's a huge bummer they are making the next M140i FWD. That nullifies the real advantage of being a 4 cylinder turbo, which is potentially 50kg lighter than the 6 cylinder variants; we could have had a real ultimate driving machine from BMW after all these years!
