I do think BMW has earned a little bit of the benefit of the doubt for me.
The last non-M 3-series I thought was great was the E46. I absolutely hated the next two generations and worried about the M3...but then they came out and they were great and I ended up owning both generations. The G20 actually exceeded my expectations when it was launched. The only thing I despise is the stupid front end and the even stupider grille. So the G80 might be pretty damn good (it will have to be) |

Course maybe it's a nod to the aftermarket because everyone with a G8x will replace that poo-in-the-ice-cream before they drive their first mile.

Faster, broader, lower than G20 with different bumpers, diffusers, exhaust and seats.

I'm really worried to be honest. The way the M340i is looking I'm just not feeling it. The front looks too busy and the rear looks a bit plain and I can't stop getting the RCF Lexus out of my head when looking at the rear. I still have hope though and really want the next G80 to be a success.
