Yeah I know but its basically the only real choice now for new RWD or premium sedan once the ATS/m3 go out of production.

I don't drive a manual and am not one of the save the manuals guys, but even I'm sad its not a choice if I wanted to.

Not saying I'd consider it either but it's one of the last 4D sports sedans on the market that offers a 6MT. And interestingly their manual has other upgrades that come with it including Brembo brakes and a sport exhaust which means they realize that manuals cater to enthusiasts.

If Hyundai/Genesis is willing to produce a small number of 6MTs for their 4D sedan then shame on BMW for giving up on this for the 3-series (in the U.S).

How can you be so negative when you don't even know how the car drives?

Good news is the 1LE is an incredibly capable car. If I wasn't doing the car seat thing with two kiddos, I'd certainly be looking at a Mustang GT PP2 next year

No that's the the f-in problem. There are NO alternatives. That's it. We're done.
4 door sports sedan with 6 speed manual transmission from Japan or Europe with 6-cylinder ( f it, even 4 Turbocharged) engine. None! No, boy racer Type R and STI don't count.

If someone posts "that's what ///M cars are for..." I'm gonna throw a rock at them

Not any more, and that is really cruel advice, having bought, suffered through for a couple of years, and then dumped a 2016 Audi A6 3.0T Prestige with numerous quality problems, lack of technical ability to fix, and deceptive/poor/dishonest customer support from AoA. Audi/VW? Not even for an enemy!

Just buy yourself a 97-98 or 00-01 Integra Type R. They are hard to get ahold of, one that's not salvage title or modded, but I sure do miss my 00 GSR and always wanted to have an ITR for the driving experience. It is FWD but boy it was fun.

BS
It's a fast fun car
And light
(Lighter than my Dinan e46 with more power- yahoooo!)
(the 2019 will look better than the current Type R- with LCI update)
And it won't break my wallet, at purchase or for repairs

Those looking for a manual, there's always a used F80 or M240 that would be in the price range of a new 3 series.

Their Marketing department perhaps hasn't kept up? Not surprising considering how the rest of the company operates.

I stand corrected. Odd that the site still shows it as an option when that article was published 2 months ago

In all fairness, the Marketing folks have to get the info out to the subcontracted web management company. At my prior competitive car company, that process was not always the most efficient, so delays/obsolete data doesn't come as a surprise. Regardless, Audi never again forever stands!

M240 is not a 4-DR. There are plenty of 2-DR cars out there with manual transmissions.

6MTs in the sport sedan category are essentially becoming extinct.
