On the "other" BMW forum's "Ask a Dealer" someone posted their lease numbers and for a MSRP of $60,045 their monthly payment was going to be $649.73 per month (does not include taxes). And that is with a slightly inflated Money Factor.

I realize your MSRP is higher, but over the course of 36 months you would pay $9981.72 more than the other person. So I would say that is a lot too high.

If $250-$300 of that is taxes, then maybe not so bad?
Whaaaatt? $650/month for a 60K MSRP is crazy good, given current residuals and MF's.

Agreed. Not sure how much down was needed to get $650 but if isn't much I'd gladly pay that to get into a M340i.

I didn't say $650/month was a bad deal - I said $927/month was not a good deal

I guess I'm spoiled since my $65k MSRP 340i xDrive has a monthly of like $620/month But that was back in 2016.

BTW the ~$650/month was with 0 down but all taxes paid up front (requirement of the state the person lives in).

How do you think I'm going to feel? My '17 340i with an MSRP around $64,500 (MPPSK, Carbon spoiler, bunch of packages) is $549/mo (sales tax and acquisition fee rolled in) 36 month, 10K lease with nothing down except max multiple security deposits. I've still got 14 months left on that lease, so I think I'll be pretty happy to be able to do a 2020 M340i (no Xdrive for me, even in NJ) for $600-650. Interest rates going up really do suck for leases. I was thinking of buying my next one anyway, or getting an X3M or M3, which I'd also buy.

I have about $20k to play with on hand. I want to order a M340i and lease it but I've never done business with BMW and don't know what to expect. My goal is $350 to $500 as a payment. My m340i build might be around $63k to $65k

Yea, 650 a month for that MSRP, on a brand new vehicle, is phenomenal.

Same. I'd like to see the breakout.

I don't see you getting even a base M340i for under 500 a month, unless you can work some of the sorcery the $650/mo a guy above did.

Again, that seems remarkable. I have a MY16 at 512/mo (granted sales tax is 10% a month) with an MSRP closer to 52K. Agreed rising interest rates are probably "hurting" car sales in general.

I think more around 600/mo tax included for a base M340i , all the way to 800-850/mo for a well optioned or fully loaded vehicle. That’s the reality of it . Just throwing general numbers out there, I know msrp, lease incentives , location, credit, and MF all figure into it. Im sure high interest rates arent helping leasing , and also this being a whole new generation 3 series. Don’t really see too much lease support from BMW for the new 3er atleast the first year or so.

People still seem to be expecting $600 340's...that is not the case anymore unless you're making a large down payment or getting 10% off MSRP like @frank_nj.

All estimates use 330i residuals (57/59/60% for 10/12/15k miles) and $2k march loyalty incentive, .00188 MF. No money down other than acquisition/dealer fees and first month payment.

RPM is correct. I ran the numbers with Leasehackr. My goal number is about 350-500. Its almost 20k (w/o fees) down payment to get it near $350

Your numbers are correct. I'm confident that I got a pretty good deal.

$64,720 MSRP

36/12000 = $707 (excludes acquisition, doc fees, and taxes)

The deal is 9% off MSRP before incentives with a small markup of the money factor.

707 monthly is what it would be if I paid the taxes, acquisition, doc fee, and 1st month's payment upon delivery. I don't have to decide how much I'm putting down until I take delivery.

Money down on a lease is rarely ever a good idea. I would just leave the deal as is if it were me.

I think most will be in the 800-900 range so you got a very solid deal at this stage.

I will be getting an M340i near the end of this year sadly but I benefit because I don't believe in buying/ordering a car I can't drive. So the M340i will be on the market by the time I order mine so I'll get to test drive it first.

I made that mistake with an Infiniti Q50, thought it was going to be a better G37! Test drove the G37 not Q50... longest damn 39 months of my life.

Turned around and did the same thing with the M4, but I fell in love immediately! Made the deal over the phone! Here’s to hoping lightening strikes again!!

Getting 10% MSRP was the big helper along with no markup in MF is what kept my payment low.

Run through truecar you might find something. In my experience a dealership will never be up front how low they can go.
