High Flow Catted DP

So I'm trying to get to 500WHP w/ my 2020 M340i and was wondering about catted DPs. I'm going to be tuning my car so I can remove check engine lights, aside from that light is there any reason to go with something like an AA DP versus a CTS turbo DP? The AA might fit slightly better but I don't think its worth spending 3-4x as much but I'm trying to get opinions here.

The AA DP is really appealing to most on here specifically because it guarantees no CEL, so us non-tuners can have our cake and eat it too. But since you're tuning anyway, your options are pretty much whatever you please.

Yeah I get that with the people who have the locked ECU or are still under warranty and don't wanna void it. CEL won't matter, I'll clear/code it out once I figure out how. I just wanted to make sure there was nothing else I was missing. Thanks

Don't forget emission testing. Just because your tune hides the check engine light does not mean you will pass emission.

If emission testing and check engine light are not a concern, there is no reason to pay extra for downpipes with GESI cats. The standard, less pricey catted downpipes will work.

So I'm guessing there's not much of a difference with sound between them. Figured so.

Mike, do you know if having the CEL on will cause the car to go into limp mode or do anything? Until I get the tune I don't know whether to put the DP on or not.

The car will run normally; the check engine light is just a warning light that you can ignore.
