Ok guys - need help with color!
M340i
Tanzanite blue with black wheels and black interior? Tanzanite blue with black wheels and cognac interior? Dravit gray with black wheels and cognac interior? I'm silvered, blacked, and whited out. I always get a black interior. I love the cognac and am really liking the Tanzanite. Think those 2 will make a rich combo? Or better to stay safe with Tanzanite and black interior with the blue stitching? Thanks! The Tanzanite on the computer shows much lighter than the cars I've seen in person. |

Def a vote for cognac. I used to be a black interior guy but having some color just makes the cabin feel airy and pleasant. Also looks 10x richer and more luxurious. More modern too. Tanzanite will pair well with cognac. On a side note - G20 looks incredible in dravit gray.

Cognac is the way to go. Looks luxurious and sporty. Brown interiors are quite easy to maintain.
Black is the safe choice but Cognac is pretty safe as well. It's not a lot to live with like red, a pain to keep clean like white, or geriatric like beige.

If I didn't order a tzb/cognac I would have ordered a Mineral grey and cognac. It looks super classy.

I personally went for the TBII / Oyster interior and matte ash wood trim. I hate the two aluminium choices they have.
Regarding the combination, my previous was a 430 gran coupe in snapper rocks & all beige interior. So i do have an affinity for blue colours Initially wanted black (time for a more serious colour) & beige but the black would not give me the "turn around and look at the car after closing it" so went for the TBII. Next was interior. Initially ordered the car in TBII & all beige (wanted all beige only because it also has the floor in beige and i am a sucker for that :P). Finally a woman's touch came in (the lady that sold me the 430) and she told me an oyster interior goes much much better with TB so i changed the order. After much consideration, i realised that the oyster interior gives TBII a more sporty, while still being classy imho. Good luck choosing bud.

I have a F30 Tanzanite with cognac, the guys at the dealership said it was the best combo they had seen all year (2018).
I definitely vote for Cognac. If you want easier maintenance, go for Dravit. Tanzanite is as bad as black to keep clean. |

Dravit/cognac or mocha. Tanzanite is beautiful but shows every bit of dirt or scratches. I have tanzanite over oyster and its stunning but difficult to maintain.

Yep gonna go for the cognac interior as well.
As for paint I like Dravit above the others. The nuances of the paint make it worth every penny. But I also like Tanzanite, although as others have mentioned, it is a very very soft paint. Unless you're a detailer then yeah. Looks amazing when clean though.

thanks for all the responses.
For those of you that said Tanzanite.... is it a very dark blue? I'm leaning towards the Tanzanite/cognac. So the general consensus is that cognac does not clash with the blue? For those who said Dravit.... does that color turn green in the sun? |

Tanzanite is very dark blue but a lighter blue than carbon black. I personally don't like cognac with it because cognac is so orange and to me needs a bland tone exterior to match (white, silver, gray, black).

I really love Tanzanite as it reminds me of my all time favorite, Carbon Black. I strongly considered a Tanzanite with Black/Blue leather, as there is just enough contrast with an aluminum trimmed interior. I really wanted Cognac but was turned off by the lower dash being Cognac and not black (non US can get around this). If you go Cognac, highly recommend the open pore oak, as the black brings back a bit better contrast and heightens the luxury feel IMHO.
OP, also please be aware that some of the dealers I spoke with mentioned that if you are getting a Mexico allocation, Tanzanite may be unavailable at this time. That's ultimately why I had to knock it off my hunt. |

I have Tanzanite II Blue with the Black/Blue Contrast Leather Contrast stitching with bi-colour wheels. Enjoy slick, sport, and settle look. I'm the person that prefers more settle traditional but sportier design.
Not a fan of Cognac, looks old- school mature luxury. Here are the classifications in my opinion with comments: Sporty with accented interior (Red Interior) Black with Red White with Red Grey/Silver with Red Blue with Red (Superman Combo) More Traditional Sporty luxury (Black Interior) Black with Black (Ultimate stealth) Silver with Black White with black Grey with Black Blue with Black Old school mature Luxury (Brown Interior) White with Brown Black with Brown Grey with Brown Green with Brown Blue with Brown Modern upscale Posh Luxury (White/Beige/Oyster Interior) Black with White/Beige/Oyster White with White/Beige/Oyster (Too light in my opinion) Silver with White/Beige/Oyster Grey with White/Beige/Oyster Green with White/Beige/Oyster Blue with White/Beige/Oyster |

Definitely Dravit Grey with black wheels and Cognac. I just dont like the dark blue body with dark wheels. At least with the grey the black will contrast the body.
