Current Financing and Incentives?

OK, Peeps, our M340ix is en route and due in Brunswick, GA on January 12 so we hope to take delivery in a couple of weeks.

The BMW site and dealer sites all list 0.9% financing through today (January 3). What's happening tomorrow?

Likewise, regarding any incentives that BMW is offering starting tomorrow that I can encourage our dealer to pass on to us?

I'll be grateful for anything you cyber sleuths can find!

I had a deal lined up that I had to travel for and COVID plus ice and snow kept me away.

Sales guy didn’t even return my email and I have $1000 down non refundable. I’m super curious what happens after today as well. In my case I’m pretty sure I lost the reservation on the car but not certain.

(I went to bed 1/2 certain my wife had COVID after 2 weeks of quarantine with my kids. I missed the 1/3 deadline and then she tested negative.)

I'm sorry about your difficulties, but please don't hijack the thread. Your reply has nothing to do with post-January-3 financing and/or incentives.

And PenFed is no longer showing BMW as one of their rebate partners on their car buying service website. Sure hope that gets renewed.

Talked with sales manager- 1.9% + $1,000 credit is the best we're going to get. The higher credits (up to $2,000) are loyalty credits for previous BMW owners. This is our first BMW.

The amounts for the military incentive have changed and now vary by region. The amount for when the vehicle is leased or financed with BMWFS. It has been reported that the incentive has been pulled from PenFed but would wait a few days to make sure it isn't just due to the year changeover.

I'm not entirely sure I follow this, but it seems the incentive is dead for people like me that are not military, just had a penfed account.

Is that the way everyone else reads it?

My dealer told us today: up to $2,000 loyalty, $1,000 non-loyalty (us). With BMW financing.

So, if I have a lease quote signed by the sales manager, will they still honor the discounts they gave me? I’m guessing yes?

We really are ahead of ourselves since we don't know if it was really pulled or just not on the site yet due to the renewal.

That said, the incentive was BMW's Domestic Military incentive and one of the ways to qualify for it was to be a PenFed member for more than 60 days, similar to how they do it for USAA. Some of us speculated that BMW may withdraw the incentive from PenFed, and for "just" PenFed members, since they started processing the incentive on their site as well as through TrueCar and also because PenFed started allowing non-military members to join.

So now that it is region specific I assume the region is determined by where the buyer is located? for example if I buy from a west coast dealer but live on the east coast I get the east coast incentive?

The opposite, it is where the dealer is located. At least that is how it has been with other incentives as far as I know.

I checked for California & same deal as you're getting. Not my first BMW but my last one was an E90 years ago. Hopefully your car is not delayed any further.

I checked for California & same deal as you're getting. Not my first BMW but my last one was an E90 years ago. Hopefully your car is not delayed any further.

Good question. I have a purchase quote signed by the general manager showing the 2500 credit. I too am curious as to whether they will honor it.

Guess we'll see....

There's a broker over on the M5 forum saying the PenFed rebate is DEAD for BMWs....Hope he's wrong but it's not looking good.

It is looking that way but would give it a bit. When they merged with another credit union a few years ago and ended their limited membership it makes sense that BMW would pull the military discount.
