As for the 8er, that's is actually one of these new rear lights that don't look very BMW-like to me (new 3er, X4 and 8er, while the 8er rear lights don't look as bad). And I'm not quite sure what your problem is. I didn't say I won't buy the car because of the rear lights, I just said that's the part I'm not a fan of. So your "go and buy an Audi then" is pretty inappropriate. |

I don't think Audi owners want fun to drive car hell, even BMW said the majority of owners want more comfort than sport. Only we the minority of customers, we the enthusiasts, want the good ol' great handling and driving dynamics BMW's use to have.

I'll be honest. From all the previous renders I thought I would hate it, this looks great. Something more out of the box and different than the normal conservative route. It may be because I'm 22 and like innovation, I can understand why others who are used to the older cars and a lot older than me aren't feeling it.

every single new creation(bar 5 series which looks vanilla nice) including x5, 3 series,1series 2 series and 4 series have been retrograde steps in design. I think bmw are trying to commit suicide. Why make such ugly cars when previous designs were so beautiful?

You've got to be kidding! What is it with BMW Design? Every once in awhile BMW goes completely nuts, like with Chris Bangle's monstrosities.
I can't believe BMW's assertions that they are getting such positive feedback on these hideous grills. My wife got her M4 now rather than waiting for the new series expressly to avoid that front end design. |

Just noticed the rear diffuser appears to be fins. Is it possible this is a M3 or something other than new 4 series? Even the hood appears to have some sort of venting on it. What throws everything off is the weak deck spoiler and single exhaust port.

I don't understand how or why, but BMW lost their way with design 5 years ago or so. And as passionate as I am about my E39s, E36, E46 and E90s.... I can't seem to find any of the cars they make now attractive. Looks to me like they're trying too hard, with creases and flares, fake air passage and huge grilles... I think it's quite sad.

I suspect it's early production, slated to be used for a reveal. My F32 came with the plate bracket in the trunk... where it has stayed. |
