I've been on this forum frequently recently and am just looking for a larger consensus.

For those of you that are Femto BM3 Stage 2, how is the reliability, any dealership visits, breakdowns, blown gaskets, leaks, or oil pump failures. This applies to 2021+ (since Femto is used for them) 3/4 series.

I really miss the burbles and overall sound/feeling that my '17 430i had. I expected the '24 m440i to be just as enjoyable but, to be honest, in my 2 weeks so far, I feel myself missing the 4 cyl 430i .

Femto unlocks your DME, Once Femto unlocks the DME, their part is complete.

The tuning of the car, which in this case is done by BM3, is a separate process. If any issues arise post-unlock, they would likely be related to the tuning phase rather than the unlock itself.

Femto’s DME unlock is reliable, and I haven't heard of any issues with it.

Similarly, BM3’s maps are widely known for their safety.

Im sending my dme to femto in 1-2 weeks then going with bootmod3 for the unlock.

So you don’t need a bm3 map ready before you send it out, and what service are you using to send out your dme?

If you dig thought the forms here, there is a detailed post of how to do it for self and save couple bucks.

You do not need a bm3 map before you send it out; you need to inform Femto of which tune and features you want.

I have not picked the service yet but i believe they recommend DHL
