Insurance for M4 competition
I'm currently in the process of purchasing a 2019 M4 competition,
And wanting some feedback on vehicle insurance preferences. Agreed value rating 1 Cheers Alan. Last edited by M4orza; 05-01-2023 at 05:33 AM.. Reason: Bold title changes |

In the past I have always found Shannons very good for my non-mainstream cars.
But just shop the web sites of the bigger insurers - you'll be surprised how much difference you'll find. I got comprehensive insurance for my son's car from RACQ for less than some providers were asking for third party. And it pays to switch occasionally to keep insurers' pencils sharp. Many of them give first year discounts, so when I get a renewal I always phone and ask for the discount again - and if they say no I find someone else who will give it, and then switch back again the next year if needs be. 20 mins on the phone each year can save a couple of hundred bucks at least. There are no loyalty bonuses any more for staying with an insurer, and Rating 1/max NCD is entirely portable. Good luck! Last edited by Gaviatrix; 05-02-2023 at 08:18 PM.. |

Make sure your insurance policy allows you choice of repairer and windscreen cover.
You don't want to be forced to take your car to the insurance providers panel shops. And windscreens replacement is quite expensive.

Both good calls, and Shannons for one does both.

Okay, then that's good. I am in Victoria and went with RACV's complete care insurance.
Was the cheapest one that offered those options but it also has unlimited hire car for as long as it takes to get repairs completed. And some of these cars need to get parts from overseas which blows out the normal 7 or 14 day hire limit most insurers offer. |
