Hi,

I have slightly adjusted cars pre-set buttons to include two favorite radio channels, but still don't have things like call or navigate home because I use voice comands:

1. Channel 58 Sirius (Prime County)
2. Channel 25 Sirius (Classic Rewind)
3. Cancel Route
4. Equalizer
5. By-Turn Route (Route Preview)
6. Trip data
7. Tire Pressure
8. Eco Performance

In my 2022 g20, looking down to find the button you want to push while driving is way too distracting and down right dangerous.

If you just slide your finger across the buttons the "action" you have set will pop-up on the navi screen for each one - then a hard press will invoke it... that way you don't have to look down and use feel... (just an option)

Interesting to have home addr on there - if you have gesture control you can nav to that by default by closing then opening your fist a couple times in quick succession 🖐️👊🖐️

I use mine to get into audio settings to adjust bass/treble....it is too deep in the Idrive Menus for my liking this gets ya right there to tweak

Not everything can be stored this way but in general the concept is to not be IN the function but rather have highlighted the selection to the function. I don't know if "trip data" is something else but I have stored (in UK english called) Journey data with this method.

First & foremost, my apologies for not getting back to you sooner, but car was being serviced.

To save Trip Data to a Programmed button, Press:
* Car
* Driving Information
* With Trip Data highlighted, press desired numbered button

That should do it

I thought you could only make a shortcut to Carplay in general, not to a specific app within Carplay. But you could do that? That would be awesome.

I will double check later in the car but as I remember, i went to Apple Car Play, then with the center button scrolled to spotify (did not press it, just marked it) and pressed the FAV(x) button to save.

Curious to know if it goes straight to Spotify when you press that button. That would be awesome! I always use Overcast via Carplay to listen to podcasts, so a shortcut to that app would be amazing.

Can't test it myself at the moment, due to the temporary removal of Apple Carplay in my car (due to the new chip BMW uses). The update that resolves this is will be installed soon hopefully.

I could not check if the Spotify FAV-Button is possible because i removed Spotify from my phone. But you were right, it shows "Apple Car Play" as shortcut, I tried to make a FAV on phone numbers, google maps and other apps on Apple Car Play but it was not possible. BUT as I remember, pressing Apple Car Play (& the automatic Automatisation of BMW) leaded to Spotify Autoplay. Many times it also happened to me, that as soon as i started my car, Apple Car Play opened automatically and Spotify started to play, but it annoyed me because the car always started doing this. Even if I was listening to the radio, locked the car, came back after a few min or even the next day and again my car openend Apple Car Play and played spotify instead of the radio.I then decided to not use Spotify any more and delete the app, since then, everythings seems to work normal.

I think it automatically starts Spotify, when that's the last Media app you used before entering the car?
