Dealer I went to is in NJ as I live pretty close to Jersey.

Dealer confirmed that even though I am a NY resident I can take advantage of MSDs if I work with an out of state dealer. I will call BMW Financial tomorrow to confirm just to be sure.

i was able to order an individual paint color that's not dravit gray or tanzanite, it's one of the colors on the big color chart..

also inquired about the individual merino leather, options aren't available for that yet

It's going to take 3 months for it to enter production? Did they give you a reason why?

I locked in my numbers for Last month (Sept), but called on the 1st of Oct to see if they improved at all. No changes, including the MF at .00128.

Hoping for a positive adjustment next month. Locking into September numbers only protects me. If they change for the better, I can update to those.

Same. Since my lease is up on 1/4/2020, going to lock it until Nov 1.

October 2019 Lease Program:

330i (2020MY)
15k miles / 58% residual
12k miles / 60% residual
10k miles / 61% residual

$2,000 loyalty credit
M340i (2020MY)
15k miles / 58% residual
12k miles / 60% residual
10k miles / 61% residual

$1000 lease credit
$2,500 finance credit
$2,000 loyalty credit
I'm not sure if I'm understanding this correctly,

I will pick the m340i 12k miles

Is my lease payment will be equal to the;

MSRP - $1,000 - $2,500 - $2,000
- 60% residual? ( 60% of the MSRP )
Plus tax and registration Fee?

Please advice!!
Thanks

If you're leasing, then your lease payment will be:

Sale Price - $1,000 - $2,000 - 60% residual of the MSRP + taxes/fees

The $2,500 is for the financing if you were to go the route of buying the car.

Sale price represents the final selling price of the car after any discounts you can get off MSRP. Generally speaking, you should never pay MSRP for a car, always aim for a discount prior to applying incentives.

Pretty sure the residual for the 330i was 57% /15k in September. So we got a bump up. M340 remains the same I think

How much off the MSRP? How can you know?
How much usually below the MSRP?

I guess what I'm trying to know how can I know if I'm getting a good deal or not.

Thanks a lot.

How much you can get off MSRP depends on your region. Since you're in SOCAL, you should be able to get a decent amount off. I would aim for 12% off and be happy with anything between 8-12% off. You may need to get multiple dealerships involved and competing for your business to pull that off.

As a general rule of thumb, you'll know you've gotten a good deal when the monthly lease payment is less than 1% of the MSRP. So for example, if MSRP is $65k, then you should aim for a monthly payment of $650 or lower, without putting any money down outside of first month's payment plus taxes/fees and any security deposits.
