I am really not sure how this strategy, camouflaged as 'spy' work, is working when it comes to the M3 and M4? Admittedly, I generally succumb to changes after variable exposure, however, have yet to find myself accepting of the front snout.

I can say for certain I do not have any particular desire to own what I have seen of the upcoming M3 or M4 iterations over the most recent iterations.

I agree with you on this! its all part of the hype for "whats new and upcoming" all these companies are purposely doing this to attract.
Anyway, these new cars are not calling to me, bigger isn't better.

So is there a chance they redesign the front grill considering the acceptance rate of it is approximately 20% on this forum?

Unfortunately, I do not think so. The more likely scenario is 'mere more exposure.'

What he is saying is that BMW marketing is using this forum to manipulate our minds at the subconscious level. If they are successful in this plan, the acceptance rate for the new grill will be at lest 120%. Not me though, my tin foil hat will keep me hating the new design forever.

I remember a time (that being every new generation of 3er spy cars I've owned for the last 20yrs) where I grew more and more excited for what I saw and couldn't wait to put my order in at some point. For the first time I have yet to find myself experiencing that emotion. Trying my best to be unbiased but nothin about this car excites or even intrigues me so far. Kind of just waiting for the reveal to make my decision of keeping my f80 or more preferably finding an f80/82cs for sale. I still think Porsche is the best one out there still doin it right and creating sublime cars and not selling out the brand to make the accountants happy ... one day when I don't need the four seats u can bet I'll be there

Every time I see this new M4 and its large grill/chipmunk teeth move, I'm reminded of this kickass beatboxing chipmunk!

I know we're beating a dead horse here but this new M3/M4 grill is like a friend (BMW in this analogy) setting me up a woman with really horrible teeth. If I'm going to be into it everything else better be extra great.

From what i can see i like the Shape of the Car. Ok contrary to most People here i seem to have missed the live presentation of the G80 / G82 to have a close Look at the Front. So reserved Judgement here until i get up to Speed.

Sound is as expected. Was never going to be a screamer, but the Tone seems nice.

I love it, I cannot wait to get it, big grill or no big grill it will be great. Big grill on 2 series makes the car. Performance of this car is amazing.

911 is a possibility, but BMW is something very special.

I agree, I've come around and really started to like the larger grill from the new X5, 7 series and now the M3/4.

I think there are a lot more people who feel the same and who are not on the forums. Remember, the forums only cater to a very small subset of enthusiasts. And BMW does not necessary make money from just us.

Furthermore, people hate change and always complain when a new generation of the M comes along...

Because it's not obnoxiously loud?!?! Loudness, alone, doesn't mean better. I do recognize that sound is subjective though, so I'm certain we look for different things.

Looks fast, can’t really hear too much engine noise in that clip.
Will the engine rev higher than the S55? I know it doesn’t in the X3/X4M’s, but BMW did point out that the S55 rev’d high for a turbo engine, be good if they kinda pretended to be ///M.

Really? I read through the posts and one of them caught my eye. Someone mentioned that the vehicle had effortless speed going around the ring. Effortless speed sucks I want a car that is engaging, a car that I feel like I'm driving it not being driven. My X5M is effortless, fast as hell but nothing in the feel department. Anyone can drive fast just put your foot down and there you go. If I wanted a Tesla I would buy one. At least in the Porsche you get a feel for the car an emotional attachment in the M's where is my feel, where is my attachment? I had a 1994 325is and that vehicle was a pleasure to drive. Now nothing.

I believe the s55 revs to 7,500 and the new s58 to 7,700.
