What happened to Scott sayin this was supposed to be the most aggressive M car yet and the division was so happy they could distinguish it more? Nothing about that front bummer looks aggressive to me in the slightest . He must be gettin tired workin overtime figuring out what marketing jargon explains this "thing" in a good light.

It's not something that will be quantifiable anyway.

Now, actual sales numbers obviously will be quantifiable, and that's what's most important anyway. So let's table the discussion for sixteen months, and then we can talk about how well or poorly the new big-grill G22/G82 is selling.

I thought Concept 4 design could work if the grills were smaller and the headlights were exactly the same as shown in Frankfurt without the ugly hood line.

BMW couldn't afford giving the car neither standalone headlights nor the bonnet because they are cheapening out yet they expect customers to swallow this confused mantis of a front?

If it's really going to look like that then man I think BMW is making a huge mistake and will hurt them. Hope I'm wrong.

Are they sticking with the active aero grills for those? If so that'll look weird.

This bugs me out. How is this going to look good. Need to see the whole package under the skirt in order to get a real feel on (G80) it.

Exactly. The grille itself being large doesn't make the front fascia agressive per se, anyway no more than the regular 4er would be. What was left to tinker with, I.e. the bumper intakes, aren't M-level aggressive at all, and their angular shape looks more Audi RS than BMW M

I actually hope it does result in market sales below whatever they're forecasting. Maybe then there will be action to rectify it.

Now, will those sales below forecast actually happen? Doubt it - I'm just being vindictive.

Love it. I was concerned the production version was going to be rounder and softer like some renders but this looks to be very angular, masculine and sharp. Nice!

Not all of us! Homogenized design! I never expected BMW to be such a follower. Regardless of the fact that it is ugly, the biggest issue I have is that it is unoriginal and uninspiring. The front end looks like near every Japanese car with the addition of VAG and FCA - a literal Frankenstein design. Epic fail yet again for BMW.

And this is coming from a 30+ year continuous owner of some of the best cars BMW ever offered.

Enjoy it, new generation of followers.
