That's a far fetched rendering.

Actually OP was trying to follow the information passed along to the forum that the next gen M3 will share its front end with the 4 series again but with a much more radical departure. See thread "g80 M3 and g82 M4 will share front ends with larger and taller kidney grills"

Its not though, the hoodline can be seen in the camo and its different from a 330/M340 and follows that of the 4 series/vision dynamics concept which has tall grills

Sorry, the front end of the G80 will not have the G20's grills.

Actually I wanted to visualize the rumor of the new grille shape - which have been confirmed by quite a lot of people here. Still, not a good job of shaping the front anyways lol. I'll fix it when the less-camo car is out there.

Looks hideous, but I don't think it will look like that.

As long as the kidneys remain clearly separated I’m exited about this. The CSL homage looks awesome and after the initial shock and awe I think the X7’s front end is it’s best angle. However if this is Van Meel completing the Audification of M that started with AWD and now what sounds very much like an RS5 style shaped grill if the kidneys aren’t fully separated this isn’t as exiting anymore...

What do you guys think? Probably not everyone's taste but I tried to keep it close to the spied shots (headlights, major lines etc...) and referenced to some recent concepts and vision vehicles (iNext, i Vision Dynamics ...) for the grille.
I think you really need to try very hard again. This looks worse than a lexus and that is really saying lots.

Its not close to looking good at all. Does not scream performance, it screams tapioca pudding and laxatives.

Scott I'd say you officially confirmed your insider status back in Sept when you sketched the new 4er grill. No one had a clue at the time the grill shape, size, etc.

Agreed! I still think the B8.5 RS5 looks great when I see one on the road.

Sorry OP but don't think it is a good render. Highly doubt much of a resemblance to it.
