After ordering back in late July my new 330e MSport finally arrived today. It had been at the dealers for a couple of weeks but my diary had been hectic and some trips overseas meant I had to be patient.

They picked up my F30 330e, which had done pretty well over 84000 miles, so will be interesting to see how different and improved this one is. I've been averaging just under 50mpg before so expect to see 60+mpg over my 140 mile commute.

Portimao blue seems to be the most common colout, but it's certainly a lovely colour and bit more interesting than my old Mineral Grey one, and no regrets on going for the Oyster interior.

It's pretty well specced, with MS+ pack, premium, tech packs, and Driver Assistant pro. I've not got the comfort pack but do have some of the extras in it like heated wheel. Wish I'd been able to get laser lights, but ran out of car allowance. Shouldn't complain though, as it's got plenty toys.

Can't get over how big the wheel arch gaps are though

Congrats! It looks great! Don't you need to use winter tires already? (ever?)

I've also ordered mine with Oyster interior, and I can see it looks awesome!

I normally have winter tyres for my cars, but haven't decided if I'll buy a set for this one. It is a company car and I've got another car with a set of winters if I really need.

How are you liking yours? first drive in mine today and blown away by how much of an improvement over the F30 generation it is.

I'm delighted with it thanks. It's a considerable step up in refinement and driving dynamics over the F30. The tech is great too. I went for spec over performance this time as it suited my mileage better. However I wasn't sure I'd use the driving assistant much but it's brilliant on dual carriageways and motorways. I use the reversing assistance most mornings taking the car out of the garage. The large HUD is great for navigation, and the HK is more resolved than the F30. Averaged 55mpg since new, with high 60s on a run.

Tried out drive assist pro stuff for first time today and completely agree, it's awesome. Adaptive cruise works so much better than before, and I'm surprised by how useful I find lane keep assist.

Averaged 60mpg over my 140 mile round commute, despite a fair bit of time in sport mode with Xtra boost!

Just took delivery of my 330e M Sport but don’t have the snazzy blue break callipers. I thought they were standard on 330e M Sport?

Supplied by Alphabet. All images and YouTube vids of the 330e M Sport show the blue callipers so I’m a bit confused.

Think you need the M Sport Plus pack for the bigger wheels and blue calipers?

Congratulations. I've gone for Portimao Blue too, I'm sure will be common but such a nice colour and suits the car well.

I went to Williams about a year ago to order a new G20.
I said I would order a car today if you give me a discount.
They laughed at me.
I ordered a car through an internet broker.
I bet Williams are discounting now.
I use them for service, on the whole I am quite happy with their
Service and parts department and I bought the winter wheels from them.

Mine was a company car via ALD, so I was just told where it was coming from. Can't comment on them beyond the girl who kept me informed was really helpful.

Yeah, it's the M Sport brakes (via M Sport Plus pack) to get the blue callipers. What difference they make I've no bloody idea!? ;-)

Probably no difference but as my teenage son would say “They’re the lick”.

They are standard on a 330I M Sport but you have to have M Sport + in the 330E. Hardly seems fair

I think the fact the 330i and 330e are nearly price parity is pretty amazing. The batteries alone on the 330e will have cost £'000s

Yes, there's no way the margins on a 330e are anything like as good as the standard petrol engined ones.

My assumption is that they're prepared to take the hit as the more they sell the lower their fleet average CO2 emissions are, and there's big fines for not hitting the targets.
