I like the pins - put them on my helmet bag.

Austin COTA full-day session's July 16 possible spot or two available

Hi,
Due to potential work conflicts, I may have 1 or 2 available full-day spots for COTA July 16, but I won't know until about a week before the event. If they are available, I would just transfer them for the same price that I paid. PM me if you're interested.
Thanks.

Maybe a better gift this year than the stupid water bottle from last year.

The year before that we had the lunch bag with the hat and bottle.

This year they are charging way more so hopefully a good gift.

I'll be there but forecast is showing rain for Thursday/Friday with this tropical depression/Hurricane headed toward Louisiana. Hopefully no cancellations.

I think they should ditch the pin you get in the mail for attending for a window decal you can rock on your ///M car.

Also, yeah some other swag would be nice. Even if its a simple ///M Track Days 2019 T-shirt.

Is this like 2 actual track laps or is it like 20 minute track day style sessions?

I'd say the sessions are at least 15-20 minutes

I will mention, you are limited to the speed/skill of the others in your group. As there is no passing.

When it was the person I shared the car with when it was his time to go and I ran shotgun, someone else's car near the back, the guy must have brought his girlfriend for a date night or something, when it was her turn to drive she was very slow and down the straight was only going about 60-70mph at her max speed the whole lap.

We kept waiting for her to catch up.

I was fortunate that it was the person I was sharing car with turn.

I heard that when we were at Monticello we didn't need helmets because "supposedly" we weren't going to go over 100mph. I don't know if that's what BMW told them but an instructor or two were like don't say anything about over 100mph when we were talking about hitting 130-135 on one of the straights in the M5.

I hit 130ish in the M3/4 with a good group. You'll be as fast as the slowest in your group.
