The front looks really good and as you say realistic. Weird though to spend the effort required and then forget the rear wheel arch flares...

This render is terrible for an M3. The face is too wide and flat, the grilles are spaced too much between them, the headlights have none of the cuts/definition that we have seen, the wheel arches are not flared enough, no CF roof. This looks more like what a non-M sport 420i Gran Coupe might look like at worst case. At this point we should just stop with the renders if we can't do better - car is almost here

Agree, looks very good, curved and organic almost. The early renders were all very two dimensional making the grills and front end look flat and blocky (like the odd angle spy pics) but this really gives a good real life perspective

The render looks OK and probably close to what we get. However I think that a) I agree with others that the rear wheel arch & general stance doesn’t look as aggressive as the spy shots we’ve all seen and b) I don’t think the horizontal bars in the grill will be solid, like they’re shown here.

In the spy shots I get the impression they are taped over (same as the M3/M4 badges you’re can see the outline of in the testing pics).

Instead I reckon they’ll do similar to what you see on the F80/F82, so the bars you see here will actually consist of two thinner items grouped in pairs. In other words like the current grill has vertical pairs of bars this will have the same only horizontal.

One other thing that bothers me about the new cars is the rear spoiler on the boot/trunk lid. On my current F82 I love the bespoke panel which incorporates the ducktail style spoiler.

This new thing looks like something out of the M Performance catalogue that has just been glued on to the regular series panel.

Not sure about that thing on the front fenders that looks to be mimicking a vent. Hope that's not part of the production model.

I like the look of this render but I don't think it's quite what we'll see in the front. I think the real hood will not be nearly as sloped downward and will be more blunted/squared off.

Look to be functional vents.

Calm down mate.
What creator did hurt no one and it's all plus.
Give or take we know it's render.

I was referring to the weird 2-fang thing on the backside of the front fenders.

+1 hoping that was a copy/paste error or something... we don't need two gill slats like that, IMO.

I hope the front is not too accurate. Doesn't look like an M at all.

Is there any chance that the M3 G80´s grille will look like that of the G30??? I can not get use to the big large vertical M4 grille´s; need to see a front picture!!!!!! the F80 looks like the F30 and the F82 like the F32..... makes sense??? no???

No chance.

The most recent leaks here and here have already put the nail in the coffin for any remaining wishful holdouts.

And to answer your last question, no it doesn't make sense since the two immediate M3/M4 generations prior also shared the same front end.
The F80 had the same front end design as the F82 (based on the F32 grille & headlight design) and the E90 M3 shared the same front design as the E92 M3 (E92-based grille & headlights).

Oh my god, I almost lost my dinner looking at that car. I used to own an M3, never again looking like that.

Okay, yeah, those are "design elements," just like on the F80/82 but larger. If open to the wheel well they would cover the sides of the car with filth.

Just a bad render. No wheel arches, side vents very bad designed.

The new M3 design is controversial, but nothing bad as this.
