Zoom in and you can clearly see them were you have circled them in the front

I think enthusiasts would be more bothered if they changed the shift knob. Would you be happier with LED lights and carbon fiber all over the place?

The Germans need to put some real cupholders in this one.

The F80 wheel is nice for a BMW, but if there's one thing Audi does better it's cool-looking steering wheels. BMW has always had fairly ugly steering wheels and shift knobs and I personally like it. They're well padded and grippy, perfect for driving.

BMW has always been about maintaining a very German professional looking interior. They don't use crazy design elements or flat bottom super sculpted steering wheels. BMWs have always had an understated look about their interiors. Mercedes went off the deep end and are trying way too hard. Audi interiors look nice but they still dont' drive quite as well.

Looking at that stark interior and thin seats this doesn’t look like the soft, heavy GT car some fear it is. It looks like a proper M3 at least in this MT version without the AT shifter...

A manual box can look sexy as well BMW!!

I’m not a huge fan overall of the Gxx interior, plain boring doors, unnatractive console around the shifter. Screens instead of gauges.

I’m not being “that guy” here, I just don’t see much progress, with the exception of those gorgeous optional seats.
The thing I'm not a fan of is the all digital dash. I know Audi pulled it off well but what I've seen in other BMW models with it did nothing for me.

Analog dials with a digital touch would be nice.

Yep I have to agree. It all becomes a bit cluttered, over complicated and hard to read what the hells going on.

I feel as though they do digital dashboards because everyone else has done it. Rather than actually being a proper step forwards.

The wheel in the picture below has the new style M1/M2 paddles (with black tape over them), but there also seems to be a large plastic gear-change paddle behind the wheel.

I just had an M340i loaner and the digital instrument panel was terrible, but I didn't see if there were other configurations.

+1. Call me old school but I prefer analog as much as possible. Real dials/needles, 6MT, and an honest-to-goodness hand brake. Speaking of which, where is it? Please don't let it be that big red button in front of the shifter ( ! )

I don't follow this board too closely, so please forgive my question if it's been previously answered.

I was hoping the new M3 would debut in Sept. at the Frankfurt show...What's the rumor around timing for BMW to release the final design (sans camouflage)?

I agree, my mothers Q5 has a better looking wheel than the G80... I also agree with BMW wheels being all business, that's why I made a change
