Ferrari and Mclaren share the same nose.

Mercedes just looks beautiful.... livery, nose... everything...
I guess as the saying goes in F1, if it looks beautiful... it's probably fast.

The Haas front wing looks spectacular. It seems that the time in the wind tunnel has been put to good use.

I can't wait until the first laps are turned!

HAAS aero looks promising.

Livery.. very underwhelming... so much for seeing a yellow car on the grid.

Dat nose tho.

GS15 for me! I have heard great things about GS11 but it depends on how close you are to GS12 so that you can see the end of the straightaway. I need to scout the seat/row/section assignment this year so I know what to look for next year.

1. Renault looks amazing, as others have said
2. Haas is a bit bland, but they will probably finish ahead of McLaren, so it matters little lol
3. McLaren better get their shit together this season. I love my Woking team but seriously, this is getting out of hand as one of the traditional powerhouses.
4. Expecting a better fight inside of Merc than Merc vs. Ferrari/others, honestly. I hope Toto lets them go balls out all year like in 2014
5. If the season hasn't yet been decided I definitely will be in Austin this year

The WO7 has thrown down the gauntlet with Hamilton completing 152 laps at the time I type this.

I'm really proud of McLaren-Honda with 79 laps under Button.

I'm really hoping for another great season this year!

Very promising for McLaren. Hope HAAS can figure out their front wing issues.

Honda Motorsport Chief Arai to step down from post.

Looks like the "GP2 engine" cost him his job. =(

The best part is when (after spending millions of dollars in wind tunnel testing) a car loses an "aerodynamic" part on track, AND actually starts posting FASTER lap times without it...

Hope it sucks less than last year. I had more fun watching IndyCar and IMSA.

So I guess we can look forward to another year of Maccas powered by turds. It's painful to watch such driver talent and carriers flushed down the toilet.

Wouldn't conclude that the 2016 PU is a turd just yet.

Mclaren Honda will run a Mk.I 2016 PU for this week. A MK.II PU will be run for the next test. Final PU spec will be a combination of the MK.I and MK.II spec (take the best of both specs) to combine into a MK.III spec which McHon will open the season with in Melbourne.

Cautious optimism. Last year was so bad anything... and I mean anything this year is considered a improvement. lol

The WO7...here we go again!!

The pace of the Mercedes has been described as ominous by a certain journalist. Alonso says that they are performing some, 'interesting' testing, and says that the domination has not ended as they look stronger than ever.

New Qualifying Format.

Formula 1 bosses have voted unanimously to deliver a dramatic overhaul of the qualifying format for the upcoming season.

Following a meeting of the Strategy Group and F1 Commission in Geneva, the format change has been voted through to spice up the show.

Qualifying will remain as a one-hour session, split into three segments, but drivers must be on track throughout each part until they get knocked out.

Details on how the new qualifying format will work exactly have yet to be decided, but the general outline has been agreed.

Q1 will now last 16 minutes and after seven minutes the slowest driver will take no further part in the session.

Every 90 seconds thereafter, the slowest will be knocked out until there are only 15 drivers remaining.

After a short break, Q2 will commence and last 15 minutes with the slowest driver eliminated after six minutes.

As was the case in Q1, the slowest driver at the time will be knocked out at 90-second intervals until eight remain.

Q3 will last 14 minutes and see the process repeated again with the slowest taking no further part after five minutes.

The next five drivers will drop out at 90-second intervals leaving the final two drivers to fight it out for pole in the final 90 seconds.

The change will require ratification by the World Motor Sport Council, which next meets on March 4.

Any thoughts?

I think it sounds very promising, but am wondering how much carbon fiber ends up scattered all over the course when individuals are trying not to be eliminated! lol
