Aftermarket wiper blades don't fit?
I needed new wiper blades for my 2019 330i and I tried the Bosch ICON blades as well as the RainX silicone. Neither set fit despite claiming to be compatible, they almost fit but the latch just does not "click" in. I ended up going for original BMW wiper blades, probably a good thing anyways as the original set lasted four years.
Has anyone had aftermarket wiper blades that actually fit properly? I did find FCPEuro sells the OE Valeo blades for $40 (dealer is $60) but I have not had much luck with anything else. Unfortunate as Bosch ICON blades were great on my last car. |

I had the same experience and as you say, Valeo are the BMW OEM supplier.
The correct set for the G20 (front) is Valeo Silencio part no. 574471. |

Glad I am not the only one! I found the Valeo blades at FCPEuro for a pretty reasonable price, along with the air filters (basically the only maintenance I do myself nowadays)

Same experience, with Bosch at least.
I bought a pair of Bosch A930S blades which are listed as fitting the G20/G21. The won't 'click in' at the part where you are supposed to pinch the two prongs with your fingers. Loads of folk have had the same issue with these wipers, it appears. Returned them for a pair of Valeo Silencio (part number VF371) and they fit perfectly. As Gaviatrix mentioned, Valeo supply BMW and if you buy 'OEM' wipers from a dealer they will be made by Valeo. The photo shows the prongs which won't click into place, something prevents them from doing so. |
