b48 high boost tune?
Hello,
I am stuck in a very confusing situation with my local tuner so I thought maybe you guys can help me since I am new to this with minimal experience. So my local tuner shipped my ECU ( he took care of the process) supposedly to femto in Finland. After he transferred a bootmod license he previously owned, nothing has worked out. None of the OTS maps work after flashing (Car literally wouldn’t turn on and run, it would make this broken car starting noise). He contacted bootmod multiple times and they have sent me 9 custom maps for stage 1 so far, as in test 1, test 2, etc. all the maps are extremely bad, knocks, catastrophic misfires specifically in cyl4, shadow code 10D000 (torque limitation active), massive power drops past gear 4. Now my real question is: my local tuner claims that my specific car has NEVER been tuned by bootmod, therefore they are basically “trying out” maps on me, which explains why all the test custom maps are horrible. And when I asked about customROM that should’ve been done by femto he claimed that it wasn’t available for my model yet. I don’t know whether he’s genuine or not anymore, but I don’t wanna change tuners before knowing an accurate answer. Are all his claims true? |

Femto is just an unlocking service as far as im aware, he just needs to know what software you are using (BM3 etc) as he adds in code or something so that the BM3 app can detect its a femto unlock (at least thats how it was explained when my mate got his M5 done)
