I recorded this to see how noticeable the change was from Comfort to Sport (this wasn’t a cold start). You can actually see the valve being switched.

If the 330i could sound like that, not to raucous nor ridiculously loud that be perfect the MPE adds a nice bit of bass but can't drop the 'fizzy' top end.

I can see you got a m340i in the U.K., I got one too, just had it over a month and got about 1200 miles on it but you can only hear the exhaust sounds whilst stationary and when driving it's mostly engine noise and a little exhaust, do you have the same thing? I think it's these opf filters but I've seen others in Europe sound much better like Germany for example on YouTube.

You’re right, you don’t hear it that much when you’re driving. It does make a noise though. When my wife has driven off in it it sounds good. Also if you have the windows down and rev it above 5k in a tunnel or somewhere where the sound bounces you can really hear it.

Just about to hit 1.5k. With working from home, had to invent some road trips as didn’t want to be stuck in the running in period for 6 months!

How are you enjoying it so far?

I came from a Q7 with air suspension and was a bit worried the ride might be too firm, but finding the ride quality really good when it’s in comfort.

Okay so quite similar to myself then. I'm based in London and done a couple road trips too, went to Seven sisters cliffs and camber sands beach but looking to go to Lake District or Scotland at the end of the month.

I'm really enjoying it because my only previous car was a Ford Focus 1 litre eco boost so it's a huge upgrade. The drive is amazing.

Are you going to add any m performance parts?
