Based on the MSRP you gave, that would be a 5.45% pre-incentive discount. If that was here in the US, I'd say that's not a great discount. I've been told, at the moment, you can get a custom allocation from a US dealer for 9% or 10% off before incentives. Again, I have no idea how overseas dealers discount, what bonuses they may or may not get, or even if this is a good comparison. But that's the best assessment I can make for you.
I’ve seen a few brokers on the lease hackr forum that are offering 9% off before incentives on a 2021. Word is that the residual is going to be 58% hopefully the MF stays at .00099 or drops. Ordering now your looking at a September delivery for Labor Day there should be some decent incentives. Something to think about.

After going back and forth with the dealer, this was the last offer they gave me.

2020 M340ix
MSRP with delivery - 68,369
Offer - 56,697

I have to pay 1,500 for shipping back to the states, whenever I decide to go back, so the total price is 58,197.

This is a purchase. There are no incentives and no tax for this purchase since I am overseas. The 58k is the OTD price.

Sounds like a good deal to me??

Hard to compare this to the many deals posted on this site, but about 15% off OTD seems like a pretty good deal to me. Personally, I would take that deal.

OK, so help me out here. I've got a custom build all prepared through the build website. Sent it to four different dealers. Was offered 3% off MSRP. I countered at 6% off MSRP. Was basically told, "that's a hard no" with no further negotiation, except one dealer simply asked "how did I come up with that number". 3 of the 4 dealers were all fairly consistent with this. The fourth one didn't respond to me at all.

These are dealers in my local area. I suppose I should look out of state? Particular dealers that any of you can recommend? Feel free to PM me. Thx

Seems like a bad time to buy an M340i - wait if you can. You shouldn't pay a penny more than 10% off MSRP.

As it turns out, right now is a bad time because they're in production for 2021 models and few dealers have any in their inventory yet. And, they're still catching up on dealership inventory fulfillment because of COVID. At least one dealer tried the ol' bait and switch on me ("accidentally" omitting an option or two off of my build sheet) when providing an estimate and misquoted by about $1400. In the end, I got about 6% off MSRP. Out of about 10 dealerships, no one would go lower than that. One wouldn't come off of MSRP!

That's OK. I'm not unhappy. Looking forward to the M340i!

I just got quoted 11% off an on lot car here in Atlanta. Global Imports BMW if anyone is interested. 2020 MW over Black/Blue.

Im holding off for a 2021 order. Best deal I've found so far is 9% + any incentives.

Below is what a dealer offered me for a Certified BMW which has not been titled yet so it will have 5 years of new car warranty. The rebate for me will be $3500 and not $4500. It has 4000 miles on it. It has the following options: Driving assistance package, driver assistant pro package, premium package, executive package, 19" M wheels, harmon kardon sound system.

What should i expect to pay for it?

That's consistent with the quotes I was getting; however, mine was for a special order. If this is a demo, i.e., titled as new but with miles on the odometer, I think you can do better.

12 months ago I woulda said that was not the greatest price but with inventory/demand being what it is now, those deals appear harder to come by. Unless you get a broker or something and are leasing.

But 5 years unlimited mile warranty is def a big selling point, especially if your buying and not leasing and planning to keep for awhile

I wouldn't pull the trigger on that deal I still see people getting 9-11% off before any incentives on 2020 models. I've seen a few brokers offering that in there remaining inventory. It doesn't hurt to spend about 399 to save another 3-4k

Yes i plan to buy .
Was going to counter offer the dealer $57k which will be approximately 11.5% off the msrp + any other incentives that BMW has to offer.
One dealer offered 7% off MSRP for a custom factory order and this was without any negotiations.
Any thoughts?

One of the dealers offerd $0 discount over the MSRP for a car that was on the lot.

There are quite a few out there. One recommended on this forum is Stephen Bacon. I think he's based out of Florida. Link: https://www.baconscarconcierge.com/contact

7% off a custom build is pretty decent. Can't hurt to make a counter offer to see if they're willing to play ball tho!

And yeah using a broker is def the easiest way if you don't want to negotiate yourself. But keep in mind they have a fee (which is usually minimal compared to savings) and you'd likely need to arrange for freight depending on where the broker is located.

I ended up getting a little less than 10% off my 2020 build pre-incentive. Was originally offered 8.5% but it took over 17 weeks for it to arrive (before covid) so my dealership added in additional discount.

I also was able to take advantage of the BMW CCA rebate ($500) before they changed their terms for 2020.

My MSRP was ~ $61k and with $0 down/ $0 MSD's my effective monthly is about $575. Not the craziest deal out there but def very attainable

Ah, that makes sense. If you go in the direction of ordering a 2021 M340i, just know that they are barely getting those to dealerships, and many dealerships do not have (or aren't willing to use) their allocations for the M340i. Therefore, they aren't willing to negotiate great deals on those right now. Just my experience. YMMV.

Some on here have reported 9-11% off MSRP for the 2020 MY. I didn't have that opportunity, so I "settled" for 6% off MSRP for a 2021.

Edit: I have to believe the 9-11% off MSRP is for on-the-lot vehicles in inventory. Special orders require the store to use an allocation, and many sales staff don't get the same incentive for selling a special order as compared to selling a vehicle in current inventory. If you find a 2020 MY on the lot, you'll almost certainly land a better deal than a special order. All new builds on special orders are 2021 MY at this point in time, I believe.

I worked with next level auto broker and I got 9% off a 2021 order and prior I was working with bimmer david and got 10% off a 2020 order that got canceled. What I heard is that bmw is focusing on fulfilling orders so they won't be sending dealerships inventory cars until the orders are fulfilled. If this is indeed true most sales dealerships are going to have for the next 2 months is from orders

Is that including loyalty and other credits? 9% pre- incentives would be great.
