Coding reduced mode

I noticed in the EU there seems to be the ability to switch the instrument cluster to reduced mode, that really cleans up the UI. As a guy who likes to drive without distraction at night coding this in would a massive boon.

Anyone have any clues? I've had a look in KOMBI but haven't found it as of yet.

My car came with that option from the factory and I was on version 7/2019.55.

What version are you on? On my car under the instrument cluster display options there is a checkbox for reduced mode which will make it look like the from from the thread you mentioned.

Wait really? Interesting. I asked around at a dealer here in CA and none of the cars they knew of had it as an option. I haven't had it on any version from 03/2019 --> 03/2020 (current).

Bugger, I really like how that looks in sport, cleans up the kind of messy look.

I'm thinking you might be on to something, I don't have the pack either (my car was also built in Feb '19). Friend with a DAP M340i confirms he does have the option. His car was weird in other ways though, he didn't have Sport+.

Very strange if that's the case. What were they thinking? Surely everyone would want that option regardless whether they have DAP or not

Was your car built in Mexico or Germany? I have a German built xDrive 340 without DAP and it has Reduced Mode. Software version 11/2019.70

My car is German built, Feb 2019 so before the Mexico plant spun up.

I do wonder if it's somehow related to it being pre-July 2019 build, as i obviously also don't have any of the driver assistance displays etc (wouldn't have them even if i had DAP)

I had a 520 for the day very basic, didn't even have rear camera and this had reduced mode.

Would love this in my 320d

I had no idea they were making M340is at the Mexico plant now, wow. I remember when it was just sport line 330i

One thought, the fuel gauge remains on. do you think there might be another code to add to remove that?
