MSRP on the M340i xDrive is $56,995 compared with $50,950 for the 2018 340i xDrive (comes with M-Sport package).
What do you guys think? The M340i comes with a stock LSD, and the bigger brakes that the F30 340i does not come with, but the G20 M340i doesn't have the upgraded HK stereo that was standard on the F30. I currently have a well optioned 2017 340i and my lease is up in October 2019, so I should be able to get a 2020 M340i to replace it. However I'm worried with the increased price and higher interest rates that the M340i might be overpriced unless BMW does something to help with higher residuals. I've seen $0 down leases on leasehackr for a Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio at $999/month, so if the M340i really approaches $900/month with $0 down, it almost makes more sense to lease the Giulia Q4 with 500hp. imho BMW definitely needs to rethink the pricing or be ready to offer some deals to get the car closer to $700/month or less with $0 down. The 540i xDrive could easily be had for less than this right now (see leasehackr). |

I absolutely agree. You nailed it. One can easily calculate the price of the M340 using 330 package prices. (assuming we get M and track as standard equipment). The loaded car is 70 K with residuals set at 57% and money factor of 0.00188 it is going to be expensive to lease. Use lease hacker to calculate. But it is the new BMW reality. loaded X5s are in the high 90K range, 750s are in 120K range. M550 is 85K. All lease at above $1000 a month |

So what options and packages add $14k to the base price of $56k? I think a lot will be standard such as Nav/stereo, basic driver assist, adaptive suspension. We'll see but they won't sell many at $70k. As has been said, I think it will match close to X3M40i pricing.

Judging by the MSRP and BMWs current leasing paradigm, I'd be shocked if these could be had for less than $900 a month.

I would strongly bet you won't have to add premium pack or leather. With your build there I bet it's only $8k in options added to get all that but we'll see.

Assuming a loaded price of $65k, a 60% residual, an 8% discount from MSRP, and a $2000 lease incentive, the BEST we can hope for is about $775/month with tax. Many people will pay much more than that. Such a shame. I remember leasing my 2010 335 for $500/month loaded zero down. Heck, I leased my current 550 with an 86k sticker for $600/month with zero down. There are a lot of compelling cars you can get for $775 or a tad more. The m340i better be damn impressive.

M340 is brand new model. so i do not expect such aggressive discounts. Plus programming is not that favorable now... maybe in 2 years from now. Current Lease Program: 3 Series Sedan (2019MY) 15k miles / TBA 12k miles / 57% residual 10k miles / TBA 0.00188 money factor (BMW buy rate.. you have to negotiate hard to get that) $2,000 loyalty credit or $1,000 conquest cash |

I leased a loaded 2014 335i $61k for $600/month and a 2017 M4 $81k for $950/month. Both with $0 due at signing except for 1st month payment. I rolled all fees and taxes into the lease. There is no way I'd pay more than $700 for a loaded M340i. Anything more than that I'll be looking at other brands.

So technically a dealer demo/refurb? Even still, that discount and residual are insanely good. Seems like the days of high RV's on BMW's are a thing of the past.

I also ordered one in production
I should be getting one hopefully by April and it's about 62k and payment will be about 927ish a month. Think it's little too high?

On the "other" BMW forum's "Ask a Dealer" someone posted their lease numbers and for a MSRP of $60,045 their monthly payment was going to be $649.73 per month (does not include taxes). And that is with a slightly inflated Money Factor. I realize your MSRP is higher, but over the course of 36 months you would pay $9981.72 more than the other person. So I would say that is a lot too high. If $250-$300 of that is taxes, then maybe not so bad? |
