Can I have Alcantara in a 2021 M340i if I request it?

Someone mentioned Alcantara in one of these cars but it is not on the configuration page. Can it be added?

For that matter, can you get carbon fiber trim on the outside if requested?

You need to talk to your dealer about BMW's Individual Manufaktur. See https://visualizer.bmw-individual.co...=1&lang=EN#top
and
https://www.bmwusa.com/innovations/b...ml#!#interiors
From what I know of it, you need to get an allocation for a German manufactured car and, if the specific non-standard item(s) are not in the Individual listing, a quote from the factory. It will not come inexpensively or quickly!

In Germany/most of Europe the Alcantara seats come as standard in an M sport/M340i (you can check out the German BMW website to see how it looks). If you go for an Individual Paint (except for P1 options like Dravit grey or Tanzanite blue) the car will be produced in Munich, and I think you should be able to request the standard alcantara seats relatively inexpensive or maybe even free (compared to full Individual leather, which is like $5k). Nonetheless, it will be a special order.

A full Individual Manufaktur interior (you can basically specifiy the color and material of every single panel and stitching individually) is about $15k on an F80 M3 to give you a rough estimate of what you can expect to pay if you go that route.

Carbon fibre on the outside is port/dealer installed M Performance parts which are available in the US, just ask your dealer. Or go with third party options which can be cheaper or can have a different design.

Short answer, no.

As prior forum member mentioned, you could go the costly BMW Individual route - it's not worth the additional investment unless you're planning to go BMW Individual Manufaktur eg 490 paintworks, Z1XX Z upholstery, 940 contents, 944 handcrafted, etc

Sorry to go off topic but I was fooling around with the Individual paint options for an M340i last night and when you choose a 490 paintwork it removes the lane change assistant. I'm not sure why one is tied to the other unless it has to do with some European regulation since I don't think the lane change works over there.

I know Lane Change Assist works in the UK. DAP Pro functionality is also reduced on Donington Gray X5/6 ///Ms, also Individual Sunstone Metallic. I'm conjecturing with how BMW implemented DAP but I'm at a loss as to why - which is why we won't see silver paint options on G05s but we'll get lots of grays - Bernina Grey Amber effect, Dravit, etc.
