So I'm about to order a M340i Xdrive seeing that none of the local dealerships have what I'm looking for and suggest I build and order. Which I have no problem with I'll wait to get exactly what I want. I'm thinking about getting a special color rather than the Mineral Grey which was my original choice until a salesman gave me an option of dravit grey that I thought about but I'd rather something a bit lighter so I'm thinking of seeing if I can get the Brooklyn grey instead. Does anyone have experience with ordering a special color on this model and do you have any advice. Thanks

Hi,

I have a '20 M340Xi in Tanzanite Blue; car was a special order.

First of all, any special order M340 is built in Munich, rather than Mexico.

Back to my case, had no problems at all. Think I placed order in late April & picked up car in Munich in early July -- sorry, European delivery is no longer available for US customers.

Having said that, however, have read on this forum of many problems with availability of some options due to COVID related shortages

My advice is to have patience-- it's worth it!
