Great render. Seems spot on. Makes sense why they flipped Angel eyes upside down because otherwise this looks like the M5.

But I'm not a fan of the Angel eyes being Angel brows.

I'm 90% sure this is a Chinese clone from the leaked LCI headlights (spy pics)

Saw this July 20th 8AM ET on Chinese social media, 3hrs before this post

Translate: "Does anyone want to try the 2022 new 3 series headlight?"

From https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=901686
G20 LCI's Start Of Production (SOP) should be 07/22, making it the 2023 model year

Also, doesn't the thing/vent under the headlight look like the new X3M/X4M LCI?

These grills also seem to pretty much confirm the 7er will have the same treatment, half slat grills.

Yes, his 7er is probably just as accurate overall

Model years are a US thing, I don't think that makes this leak somewhat more or less illegitimate. The G20 LCI is debuting in 2022, and that is what they say/mean.

Those are the G42 2 series coupe (or probably more precisely the upcoming G87 M2) headlights.

Someone's about to loose their job, well, should be.

Anyways, this looks like a very comprehensive update. I like what I see so far. Especially the headlight design... yet again a brand new spin on an over used theme.

I guess that's how all the taillights and headlines are going to be restyled from here on out; by simple inverting the DLR/TAIL lights in the opposite direction of whatever it was prior, for each LCI revamp..

IMO F36 has much better taillights than G20/22/26 series. Current G20 laser headlights with L are quite good, also G22 laser light is good also.
I agree, Laser lighting technology is hella swanky, so even if the styling is not my cup of tea, if available, I would still opt for them.

Too bad that here in the US, we don't get the cool blue hue DRL "Scenic Lights" like the rest of the world.. :

The DRLs are upside down. Other than that I think this is an improvement. Flows a little better.

Pre-LCI by a mile. These new "L" vents on the bumper are a terrible design (see X3/X4), not sure how it made it to the clay model and given the OK. Looks really awkward.

On to the next-generation 3er I guess. :

I always hated the generic Skoda/VW like appearance of the original G20 headlights so to me the new lights are an improvement.

This leak looks very legit. The camouflaged car clearly has an indentical DRL geometry and also the projectors are the same. The picture of the camouflaged car is far to young for some Chinese shop to do an exact copy of the headlight design that quick.

My guess is that the pictures where taken at the factory of a headlight supplier while they did some fitting tests. This would also explain the Audi headlights in the back.

I thought so first but when you look closely the light emitting plastic bar from what is left of the corona ring is missing. Also see a picture of the C7 Audi A6 headlights for reference. Looks the same to me except for the strange orange reflector on the left.
Why they have an old Audi headlight lying there is of course a different story

You have to be mental if you call the shape of this aggressive design "Skoda or VW like"…

Yeah it's 100% a C7 A6 light. Even the plastic mounting points are the same.
