Pirelli Cinturato P7 vs Bridgestone Turanza T005

Now that I've decided what wheels to go for as per here, I'm now wondering which of the above tyres to wrap them in. I know my current stock tyres are the same Bridgstones in 17" form so I guess the 18" version would be the "safer" bet, but if there's a better tyre out there I wouldn't say no to it .

Does anyone have any experience with these Pirellis (or Pirellis in general)? Is it worth looking at them or should I just stick with the Bridgestones? Or is there not much difference between them?

I had the P7 Cinturato non-RFTs in my A4 B9 and they were the worst tyres ever. Flat spotted if parked in the garage for a day. Poor grip in the wet. Ride quality was meh. I have the same P7s but RFT in the 330i and it isn’t as bad. Atleast it doesn’t flat spot since the sidewalls are thicker. But they wear out real quick.
No idea regarding the bridgestones.

+1 P7s are trash, no grip whatsoever and if the surface is wet traction is the worst

Interesting, thanks for the heads up guys. I did a bit more research since posting and found a couple of alternatives, including a Michelin Pilot Sport 4.

Anyone have any experience of Michelins on a BMW?

EDIT: Forgot to mention the Continental Premium Contact 6, same question as before

Are you planning on staying with the RFT's?
Personally I would ditch the Turanza, I don't rate them at all, ok in the dry I guess but in they wet they certainly don't fill me with confidence tbh!
Goodyear Eagle ASY 2/3 are a good option on the RFT, I used to run the ASY 2's on my 435d and really rated them, the ASY 3 are a newer updated version.
The Michellin PS4 get great reviews, but are not available in a RFT option so depends on which way you want to go....

I've heard in the past that runflats negatively impact ride comfort so I'm looking at non-runflats.
