No issues with using an extension lead. Just make sure you fully unravel it before charging!

Thanks guys. Been using a 13A one over weekend and all good, although it took an eternity to charge. Be glad to get the charge point in and do it closer to 3 hrs. ��

If you afraid that your extension lead will not handle charge. Drop it down in the car settings to let say 10A and all should be OK. Your toaster and kettle can have more than 10A :-)
I know charging will take ages. But that's the price for peace of mind.

Key with an extension lead is to have it fully unraveled and I guess with a thermal cut out. According to the sticker on the reel, rolled up mine will only cope with about 800w but fully unrolled it's 4kw. I don't think it will pull more than 10A anyway if you use the 3-pin charger, regardless of whether you set it higher.
